"Had an excellent dinner here with best Oysters Rockefeller ever and wonderful lightly fried soft shell crabs, finished off memorably with the amazing, cinnamon laced bread pudding draped in banana liquor sauce and fresh bananas. Warm and attentive staff."

The stylish Japanese restaurant specializes in freshly made soba noodle dishes, served hot or cold in soups or with dipping sauces. The restaurant is owned by Teiichi Sakurai, well-known as the founder of Teppo and Tei Tei.

Soba is a thin Japanese noodle made from buckwheat flour – there are only 5 in the country which prepares fresh noodle on the premises.

Owner and staff want for you to experience a touch of Tokyo in the middle of Dallas: "modern Tokyo" mixing rich wood, concrete, stone, steel and glass. The best seats in the house are at the dining room’s soba bar that wraps the stone garden.

"Outstanding & interesting Japanese food, including piquant white seaweed salad, good sushi, delicious, flavorful tempura, great steamed dumplings, and more unusual offerings (including the popular noodle dishes, which we rarely order). Excellent service, sensitive to the needs of diners who are en route to a show in the Arts District. We love the sophisticated, calm, Zen-inspired environment, highlighted by the lovely rock and water sculpture that is the focal point of the horseshoe-shaped bar where you can eat or just have a drink. A downtown favorite!"
