In a warm, modern dining room overlooking the lively streetscape of North Capitol Hill, Poppy presents James Beard award winning Chef Jerry Traunfeld’s style of Northwest cooking. Inspired by the thali, a tray of many small dishes served all at once to each guest, Poppy's menu highlights the best of local seasonal ingredients, spices, and fresh herbs from its own back garden, and includes many options for vegetarians. Annisa is a small, fine dining establishment in the West Village. The restaurant is owned and operated by Chef Anita Lo, winner of Food & Wine Magazine's Best New Chef Award 2001. The restaurant was included in the Top 50 Food Ratings in the Zagat Guide 2009 and was awarded a three-star rating in the New York Times in 2014. Annisa serves contemporary American cuisine with Asian accents in a beautiful and soothing dining room where guests are greeted by a knowledgeable and friendly staff.

According to Zagat, Suckers for sake swoon over the "hidden jewel" near Grand Central offering a "mind boggling" selection of rice wine "categorized by region", as well as an "understated, quiet" setting reminiscent of a "private club"; those in the know say it's "secret location" (in the basement of an office building) make it better.
