"We went for lunch on Christmas Day. There was a full staff. The tables were mostly filled but not overly so. The food was wonderful as it was the last time. The four of us were very happy with our meals. We had a bur rata appetizer, the octopus salad and the vegetable antipasto. However, the service was very confused. Our waiter didn't come back for us to order our food until we called him over -- about 15 minutes. My friend ordered a drink -- it didn't come -- he reminded the waiter - it still didn't come. Finally we had to ask maitre d' who was walking by and it appeared. Another 15 or 20 minutes. We weren't in a rush, but it was very disappointing to be forgotten. Our main dishes were from the pasta menu. As I said, all fabulous. We weren't offered cookies at the end as we had been the last time -- perhaps they changed that procedure. We are usually people who leave 20% tips. We did not. We will be back. It's a new restaurant so I'm hoping they'll work out the staffing."

"From beginning to end our experience at Florian Cafe was excellent. Our server was
charming and knowledgeable, and didn't rush us. The vegetable antipasto offered a wide variety. We shared the cipolini onions, mushrooms and spinach and they were delicious. We were offered a choice of butter or oil for our bread, which was also scrumptious. My friend and I both had the home made pasta with eggplant. I've lived in Rome and don't remember enjoying a dish so much. We skipped dessert but were offered a chocolate chip cookie. My only mistake is that I didn't get two. I will be back often.
