Michelin starred Boka Restaurant has been a fixture in Chicago dining since 2003. A new chapter of the restaurant begins with the acquisition of new Chef/Partner Lee Wolen. Lee who honed his skills at both El Bulli and Eleven Madison Park, was recently awarded a Michelin Star and 4 stars from Chicago Magazine for his work at The Lobby. He was also named Breakout Chef of the year by Time Out Chicago in 2013. Boka’s space was given a complete re-design by acclaimed designer Simeone Deary (Elysian Hotel) in January of 2014. In its 10 year history Boka's Chefs have received both Food and Wine’s coveted Best New Chefs in 2008 and Best New Pastry Chef in 2013. Boka's food features contemporary, American cuisine, focusing on seasonality and sourcing as many local ingredients as possible.

"I have been a fan of Boka for many years. But this was the first time we have returned since they closed and reinvented themselves. The results are even better than before. Both of us agreed it was the best meal we have eaten in Chicago in some time. The roasted carrot salad is divine- I shared this with my husband but would have preferred it all for myself. Other dishes- the octopus, the walleye, our chocolate cake were all outstanding but the best entree was the venison.Expertly prepared and the flavor was excellent. It would be my choice for next time if still on the menu. Our waitress was great and the room is comfortable. As you can tell, I am already planning my return meal!"

Located in the heart of Chicago’s Noble Square, Unite Urban Grill is the creation of husband and wife team Joe and Megan Krouse. Inspiration for the restaurant comes from Joe and Megan’s love for diverse cuisines. As a health conscious yogi, Megan has a special place in her palete for fresh vegetables and grains. Joe is a meat lover; before he met Megan there were only two food groups, “meat and no thanks.” But through their love of food, the pair teamed up to Unite taste buds.

Unite Urban Grill offers an accessible menu with quality seasonal ingredients and fresh grilled items. From the contemporary dining room to the open-air lounge and patio, guests can enjoy their meal in a relaxed and comfortable environment. The full bar features local craft beers, wine and specialty cocktails.

"I really enjoy Unite. It has earned a spot in my favorites rotation. I like the diversity of the menu- some casual, some a bit more complex. Price points are good. Service is friendly.Music is always good. I love the spiced lentils and the farro side. Both meat and fish entrees have been tasty. They deserve more recognition!"

Vora is a neighborhood restaurant located where Chicago's Gold Coast meets Old Town. Owned by a Taiwanese restaurant family with a successful spot in the South Loop and the goal of bringing quality Asian cuisine to the near North-side . VORA stems from the the word vorous meaning to feed/gain sustenance and is about simple, healthy and delicious cuisine. The Pan-Asian menu features authentic Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Taiwanese dishes with a focus on fresh sushi/sashimi and unique signature maki's, Shabu Shabu (hot pot) and Taiwanese Dim Sum (street food).

Our bar program offers an amazing selection of wine's hand picked to compliment our cuisine. Asian craft beers and Asian inspired craft cocktail menu made w/small batch liquors. A quality selection of Sake and whiskey to boot!

The space is warm and inviting, with a sleek contemporary modern design that has already garnered praises from critics. We invite you to join us soon!

"I love Vora. I like the options- some Taiwanese street food, shabu, shabu some sushi. All good. And the people are so nice. The best is their multigrain rice with chopped veges that you get if you get a large plate. Go hungry! Enjoy!"

"We were looking for a basic meal. Not fancy just solid ingredients and comforting food. It could have been that it was the $40 special night. First when asked what wine was included the waiter said it wasn't very good. Ok it was table wine. He wasn't very friendly. I think he didn't want us to get the special. Roast chicken was dry and food was very over salted. Hanger steak seemed tenderized to extreme- not nice slices. Oh well $40. But you won't get me back for a regular meal now."

"Vara was excellent. Sushi was good but Taiwanese market food was outstanding. I had a signature cocktail which was the highlight of the week.Prices are reasonable, food excellent- they even have shabu shabu. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Can't wait to return and work my way through the menu. I want to keep it to myself but they deserve to do well!"

"Our dinner at Embeya was outstanding from start to finish - close to a 5 star experience. The space is lovely- large but very comfortable. Papaya salad was bright, crunchy and flavorful. Halibut in Curry was lightly sauced and very flavorful. Heirloom tomatoes, rabbit leg, tofu almond custard all great. We loved the wine list- not overly expensive but different. Service was attentive but not smothering. You were given time to enjoy your meal. Green beans were crisp and tasty. Not overly oily like many can be in Asian restaurants. All around a wonderful evening. Can't wait to return."

This charming 28-seat West Village restaurant has quickly become one of the city's most sought after reservations. Joey Campanaro's simple-yet-inspired American-Mediterranean cuisine, warm hospitality, and a friendly and professional service team, helps create the quintessential New York dining experience for New Yorkers and visitors alike. Inquisitive guests can peek into the kitchen and watch Joey create his signature dishes, including Gravy Meatball Sliders, homemade Ricotta Cavatelli and of course, The Little Owl's famous Pork Chop.

"We loved everything about our dinner at the Owl. This is just the type of restaurAnt that I love. Fresh, seaonal, creative but not pretentious. Some chefs take creativity too far and you can't recognize what you are eating. My favorite was the Mexican corn- served family style perfectly done and clearly fresh as can be. And the lamb chops were perfect. Can't wait to return!"

"We dined at Blackbird again this weekend after first trying it many years ago. The food did not disappoint and service was great. It may seem strange to say but the coffee- both regular and decaf was some of the best I ever had. Great combinations and flavors of food. In evaluating Blackbird from a value standpoint, the question becomes more difficult. With entrees in the high 30s, you have to think about whether the food is that much better than restaurants which stick closer to $30. I am not sure. We live in NY where you can find some very expensive meals. We can also get outstanding cuisine at the $30 price point. I think we will be back because it is enjoyable but not regularly. There are delicious options that may be better values."
