"GREAT STEAKS..AWESOME SEAFOOD" - The Warehouse has consistently been highly rated by the nationally known "Zagats Dining Guide" and is one of the most popular restaurants in Old Town. Specialties include their famous All-Lump crab cakes, Lobster Linguine Pasta and their huge 20 oz Grilled T-Bone Steak. Their Sunday Brunch is a "must do" in Old Town and reservations are recommended for this popular meal.

"We live in Cameron Station, so were happy to find this little place so close to home. On a nice evening, we could literally walk here. The restaurant is in a not-so-pretty strip center, but don't let that fool you. Good, reasonably priced, authentic Italian food."

"We took some friends to The Warehouse on Saturday night and were not disappointed. Everyone enjoyed their meal, although my husband thought the parchment seafood dish a little bland. We always recommend the she-crab soup to anyone that goes with us. I had the Shrimp Diane and our friends had the crabcake platter and the Maryland Oysters. All three were excellent. I thought the servers were a little less attentive this visit, but nothing horrible. I think maybe they were interested in the Wild Card football game going on. :)"

Tucked into a little off beat corner of Old Town Alexandria is Bastille, Chefs Christophe and Michelle Poteaux's award winning intimate bistro and wine bar. Bastille offers guests a contemporary take on classic French fare at approachable prices, set in a warm and upscale environment.

The Poteaux's creations are sparked by traditional, yet modern interpretations of classic dishes that utilize seasonal, locally sourced and farm fresh ingredients. "This was my fourth visit to Bastille and it won't be my last. Literally every meal we've had here has been delicious. My husband has had both the trout and their Scottish salmon (a lunch special that time), which he ranked right up there with the best fish dish he's ever had. I had the coq au vin at my most recent visit. Wow, was that delicious! Our friends had the hanger steak with pomme frites, which they loved. Three of us went for the three-course bistro menu for $39, which saves you about $5 if you actually want that much to eat...and at Bastille, believe me, you will!"
