"We enjoyed another lovely lunch this time with friends from out of town. It was a nice setting to sit together, share a good meal and visit. The staff was attentive without being intrusive."

"my first lunch at i Ricci. I have had dinner there several times and this time didn't disappoint. I brought a friend for her first visit and she loved the beet appetizer and mushroom appetizer, as I always do. Her salmon was done perfectly and I enjoyed the linguine con vongole. Our server was attentive and very pleasant. We shared the chocolate mousse with much pleasure! The only strange part was that the matre d'i came to our table when we were seated at around 1:20 to inform us that we would need to order quickly because the kitchen would be closing up shortly. I found that unusual at that early hour and so put a tiny bit of pressure on an otherwise pleasant and relaxing lunch experience. And, sadly (but understandably), no valet parking at luncn time....."

Founding Farmers, the Greenest Restaurant in DC, offers fresh Farm-to-Table, sustainable, American inspired true food and drink. Our menus include classic dishes made from scratch, inspired by the heartland with sustainably farmed products, with locally sourced items and in-season vegetables and fruits whenever possible.

Guests can gather around one of many community tables and enjoy great family dinner dishes like pot pie, pot roast, roasted chicken, big green salads, rustic farm sandwiches, soups, and rich, delectable pies and other desserts from our seasonal menus, in a comfortable modern farmhouse setting.

The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.
"Founding Farmers in D.C. did not disappoint. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Our server, Sequoia, was a purer pleasure. She was helpful and her suggestions were spot on. The only problem is the quantity of wonderful choices available on the menu. I had the shrimp and grits and it was terrific. last time I had the delicious chicken and waffles.Try the cucumber cocktail - so refreshing! Oh, and don't pass on the chicken wings. They are Amazing!"
