Bricco’s star has been rising steadily since restaurateur Frank DePasquale revamped the menu to feature modern interpretations of regional Italian dishes.

Bricco has garnished superlative reviews from food writers in Boston and around the country – Best Guaranteed Meal in the North End and Best Pasta in Boston just two of the most recent accolades.

The talented kitchen team creates “boutique” Italian food, so-called because it is unique, personal and created for a select and sophisticated diner. The food is complemented by an enoteca (wine bar) with an exceptional selection of all-Italian wines.

Bricco also offers a sophisticated late night scene. The chic and energetic bar serves up great one of a kind cocktails as well as brick oven pizza with gourmet toppings such as prosciutto and fresh mozzarella from Italy in addition with a full dinner menu.
Open 7 days a week 11:oopm – 2:00 a.m.

Nestled on the corner of Connecticut and Florida Avenues, this inspired Russian restaurant and lounge is evocatively reminiscent of the era of the Tsars. The Russian-European elegance of the Russia House offers a uniquely warm and comfortable meeting place for anyone appreciative of its friendly and intimate coziness. It is the perfect meeting place for the true Washington socialite. The Russian-infused intercontinental cuisine pleases the most refined palate with such nouveau-traditional entrees as the Beef Stroganoff and the Chicken Kiev. Further true to tradition, the Russia House features an impressive selection of caviars and one of the largest vodka collections in Washington, D.C.

"This visit was my fourth and my wife's first. She was skeptical. Food and service were superb, Stroganoff and Shashlik. Vodka selection is the largest I have ever seen in one place, and it was smoooooth. The menu has a traditional Russian selection. My wife came away convinced. In her words, "Russia isn't known for great food, I think; but this was wonderful!" We will go back any time we are in D.C., and we are telling friends!!"

Firefly, the quintessential urban neighborhood restaurant, offers contemporary American comfort food to the city's many 'regulars' who dine out several times a week. Enjoy favorites like our matzoh ball soup, mini pot roast and a variety of 'Urban Picnics' to share...or not. We also have many seafood and some vegetarian options. The menu is designed to utilize products from our local farms and farmers. Hand-picked to compliment the cuisine, our award-winning wine list shows an affinity for small winemakers and producers and our seasonal specialty cocktail menu offers a bevy of unique libations.

"I have dined at Firefly numerous times when in the area on business. The food and service are always excellent. I have seen the place jammed with people having a good time in the evening. I have seen it busy at lunch. This time, I brought my wife, and we ate early on a weeknight. It was quiet and we were able to enjoy a conversation with our meal. I highly recommend Firefly, and I have never had a bad meal here."

In business since 1984, La Bruschetta has won a loyal neighborhood following and has long been one of the more serious -- and relaxed -- places to dine close to Westwood Village. The simple yet handsome dining room works well for many occasions: it can be romantic, it suits the needs of business people and it is also an ideal restaurant to bring visiting relatives. The kitchen prepares a wide range of intriguing pasta dishes -- some hearty, some delicate, most of them noteworthy. Deftly prepared classic northern Italian entrées, most reasonably priced, range from veal scaloppine to osso buco.

"My wife and I consider Bruschetta a "find". Crowded or empty the service is stellar. Food presentation and taste superb. Great place to bring friends and business colleagues for excellent food and quiet conversation. If you are in Westwood, stop in. You will not be disappointed."
