Farmhouse is a Midwestern Craft Tavern focused on delivering warm hospitality, great beer and wonderful food in a comfortable neighborhood setting in the heart of River North. Focused on the Midwest, Farmhouse offers 28 beers on draft, 24 from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan. We feature local artisanal liquors and a cocktail program created by Adam Seger.

The menu ingredients are harvested from local farmers and change with the Midwestern seasons. Farmhouse offers locally sourced, pastured raised burgers, cuts their our own fries and makes almost everything from scratch on premise. We are a green tavern. 85% of the building materials, furniture and fixtures were salvaged from an abandoned factory on the South Side.

Much of the seating at Farmhouse consists of community tables, seating between eight and ten guests, encouraging a convivial atmosphere. Please be aware that smaller parties are often seated at community tables.
"Had a good time at this neighborhood spit. Very cool and cozy. Expansive beer and cider menu. Smallish menu but tasty options. Not so great desserts. Service a bit slow and come as may but friendly. Would try again."

"Had a great brunch/lunch here on a holiday Monday. Our food was delicious and well prepared. The Brunch skillet was yummy with buts of goat cheese and prosciutto and a mix of red and sweet potatoes. The banana pancakes were sooo good! Highly recommend. The orange juice was truly fresh squeezed but a little annoying, I kept getting bits of orange clogging the straw. The combo breakfast platter is a great amount of food and gives you a little taste of everything, all of which was tasty, even the scrambled eggs, which I often find dull, dense and clumpy were light and fluffy. Our server was adorable if a bit stressed. He was maybe a bit too chatty with his personal life but we enjoyed him all the same. Will definitely be back! Much better choice than other similar places in the area."

Seamlessly melding refined and rustic, vintage and contemporary, Sepia has the feel of an instant classic. The stylish space is warm and inviting, comfortable yet lively. Attention to detail runs throughout Sepia -- both in the room and on the plate -- from the custom Art Nouveau tile floor to the hand-crafted millwork and the vintage stemware. The easy elegance of the room serves as the perfect backdrop for the inventive American cuisine. Chef Andrew Zimmerman's product-driven, seasonal menu showcases the purity and quality of the ingredients, letting both the ingredients and his passion for what he does shine through. Sepia celebrates tradition – with a modern twist.

"I've been several times now and though it's been busy at times and half empty at others, the service and quality of food has always been consistently very good. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The tables along the bar wall are very close together but owing to the very busy night, I didn't have any issues feeling like I couldn't have a private conversation. Even though it was packed, I didn't feel rushed by the server to order quickly and the dishes came out at a nice pace. We were there for restaurant week so had some limited options but I enjoyed most of mine. The kale salad was a nice light starter and the cara navel oranges added a nice brightness. The cannelloni add on was a bit dry and looked from the bechamel that it had been sitting out a bit, which was disappointing, but it was still decent. I had the cod for my main and it was perfectly cooked and well balanced with the roasted pickled veg (cauli, raisins, greens) and mash. The lemon tart was a slight disappointment as I love lemon tarts and this was a deconstruction and really lacking in a strong lemon flavor. It was ok but nothing special. One last note on service, I know they were absolutely packed with people waiting in the bar and trailing out the hall and though the server was prompt in bringing and taking the bill, there was no pushy stalking of our table trying to get us out. I really appreciate this as I had another experience only a day later with very poor service who actually did this. Overall, a very pleasant meal and evening."

Trellis, part of Four Corners Tavern Group, believes that pairing unique dishes with the perfect cocktail, glass of wine, or beer is essential to the enjoyment of both. The menu at Trellis varies from pizzas, made from fresh, organic ingredients and cooked in a wood fire oven, to Oysters on the Half Shell, on special for Oyster Happy Hour from 5-6:30 during the week. Some of Chef Sarah's favorite dishes include the Fig Jam & Bacon Pizza, Scallops, and the Crab Omelette, which is featured on the Weekend Brunch menu from 10am-3pm, Saturday and Sunday.

With a sommelier as the General Manager at Trellis, the wine selection is unique and carefully selected. Trellis also employs a head mixologist to ensure the handcrafted cocktails are always in season and include the freshest ingredients and in demand premium liquors.

"We went for brunch and enjoyed the corned beef hash and French toast and sausage skillet. Serving sizes were a bit small but not overpriced. Food was good but nothing extraordinary. Service was very slow to start but after we ordered the food came quickly and our server checked in a few times. Seems like a very popular place for brunch. Table next to us ordered several bloody mary's and they looked quite good. If I go back, I'll definitely have to try one."

"Fantastic cocktails and fun to watch the talented bartenders make the beautiful drinks, though the bartender didn't have a warm or inviting personality and took quite a while to greet me and take my order.
I have found this to be true at many Italian restaurants but I liked the starters and pasta more than the entrées. The truffle polenta with poached egg was perfect. The alla amatriciana was very good, rich and unctuous bursting with flavor if slightly greasy and not the pasta cut I would have selected. The scallops were good but overly sweet (really need the squeeze of lemon juice to cut sweetness) and lacked a balance of texture. The first short rib we got was mostly fat but our server quickly brought out a new non-fatty piece, which was pretty good but not anything new. The one low point was the service of the supporting team - busboys, runners, etc. They kept coming by trying to take our unfinished plates and it felt like they were pressuring us to leave. Although it was a very good experience overall, no one said anything as we left which seemed a bit too nonchalant.
