"So, Bastille is always delicious. Restaurant week was no exception. Patrick was our waiter, and he was wonderful. He made terrific suggestions, and every single one of them was an absolute hit. My favorite were the scallops. They were cooked perfectly. My friend had the lamb… Oh my goodness! That lamb was the best I think I've ever had. I'm never disappointed when I go to this restaurant. You won't be either. Oh and don't forget to have a glass of the Bordeaux; it's always delicious!"

Garlic rules at this world famous North Beach restaurant where dining is an experience for all the senses. Charming private dining areas with unique decor: hanging Chianti bottles, glowing candles, cozy booths and chandeliers. Tureens and sizzling skillets of seafood tantalize and thrill...follow your nose to The Stinking Rose!

"I love this place! It is totally kitschy, but I love it anyway. The food never disappoints. The device is not fast, but it's okay. The short ribs are delicious. The bread and garlic spread are delicious. In short, the food is delicious. As long as you love garlic, that is. Go. Take a taxi though...parking blows."

An artisan cocktail list, innovative desserts, eclectic wine list and a warm, genuine sense of hospitality appeal to the neighborhood and out-of-town guests. "I took my staff here, while in SF for a conf. Great find! Very friendly staff, great service, and what a (bizarre) menu! Eggplant jam?!? It was oddly delicious. The goat cheese cheesecake is not to be missed. Yummy Brussel sprouts. I would have enjoyed a few more choices on wines by the glass, but the (limited) offerings were very good. Enjoyable evening all around."

Amber India Restaurant embodies the spirit and essence of fine Indian cuisine. Located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, Amber India Restaurant takes Indian cuisine to a new culinary level, while still holding true to its traditional nuances. Much like the ambiance within the restaurant, Amber India’s cuisine is a mix of modern style with traditional roots. The delectable cuisine, the well paired wines, and the exotic cocktails are sure to indulge anyone’s senses. The split-level three-story restaurant can easily accommodate 140 people, with a private dining room in the back for up to 25 people. With its vaulted ceilings, stylish décor, and a constant LED light show behind the bar, Amber India Restaurant is truly a feast for both the mouth as well as the eyes.

"This restaurant did not disappoint. The menu was creative. There were the dishes you expect (tikka masala, butter chicken, palak chaat), and some new additions that were odd and enjoyable. There was a sprout side dish that was particularly curious. I'd go back for sure."

"So, this place was recommended by a friend who likes the drinks. I took my mom and cousin here for Mother's Day. The food was outstanding. Really enjoyed the tacos. Good flavors, good spice. Great standard beans and rice to go with...and I devoured every bit! Cousin had breakfast dish - avocado scramble. Delicious! Good size portion, too. Mom had quesadilla. Great too. Only slight miss was the server. One the one hand, she was very nice and patient...on the other, her attention was spotty. After placing our order, it was a solid twelve mins before she delivered it...and it wasn't piping hot, so I'm guessing it had sat waiting for a while. Refills could take a while too. Nonetheless, I'd go back in a hot minute!"
