Enjoy Chef Geoff's genuine hospitality and casual cuisine with an Italian flair. Lia’s is a neighborhood restaurant in the heart of Chevy Chase. Come for a glass of wine, hand tossed pizzas, fresh pasta, or charcuterie and cheese, and the result will be the same. You'll be back for more. Join us on Sundays for brunch and every Monday for half price wines. Enjoy our ever-popular happy hour daily from 3pm to 7pm and all night on Monday and Tuesday. An eighty seat patio provides some of the best outdoor dining in the area. We truly have something for everyone and look forward to welcoming you. Cheers! Chef Geoff

"Lia's is my neighborhood gem! It is a restaurant that I can count on for consistency in food with a wonderful menu. The bar is always inviting and its burgers can't be beat. I've been frequenting Lia's since it first opened. Unfortunately, the service is inconsistent."

Quote as “unpretentious but stylish”, Le Chat Noir, casual bistro-style with Parisian left-bank feel features classic, traditional French cuisine and a large selection of savory and sweet crepes. The Wine Lounge atop Le Chat Noir restaurant pays homage to vintage -- wine-making and a retrospect to Comics Black & White silent films. With an impressive wine list and a wide-range of cocktails for you to choose from, it is a place to share an intimate moment. Cozy home-like ambiance, we look forward to nourishing you and tantalizing your taste buds in our art nouveau inspired Restaurant and Lounge.

"We were unaware that the night we went the restaurant was celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special menu...3 courses and free champagne. One could, also, order off the regular menu. We chose the special; and, what a delicious experience it was.
We plan to return many times again over the next 10 years. Cheers to your 20th!"

Opened in November 2011, MoCo's Founding Farmers is one of the most popular restaurants in the U.S. With a fresh, seasonal menu of farmhouse favorites and new American traditional dishes, our menus of true food and drink offer something for everyone, in a modern and eco-friendly urban farmhouse setting.

The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.
"If/when I return, I will only go during "off" hours. Otherwise, it's wayyyyy too noisy and very busy, although the service was good. They were accommodating when our eggs benedict arrived with hard-boiled eggs rather than soft-boiled. If I didn't have gift certificate money left, I might not return."

The last of its kind near 42nd St., Chez Josephine is a neighborhood gem. A tribute to legendary Josephine Baker, this Parisian bistro with live music and tantalizing menu exudes theatrical panache. One of New York's most romantic restaurants, a bit of Montmartre on 42nd St., the landmark jewel sparkles with an intimate setting of red velvet walls, a cavalcade of chandeliers and a blue-tin ceiling. The eclectic menu reinvents the traditional cuisine of the French bistro in an explosion of tantalizing flavor. Jean-Claude and Jarry Baker are your warm and welcoming hosts who treat you as family whether you come before the show, after the show, for a leisurely dinner in-between, or a drink at the zinc bar.

Chez Josephine draws a crowd unlike any other in New York as food critic Bryan Miller noted when he wrote: The dining room is a confluence of the famous and the fashionable, the infamous and unsung-with every shade of skin on earth and indeed you feelthe magic of Chez Josephine.

"We had our choice of table locations because there were only a few filled tables, which was nice. Terrible service... the incorrect order was served...servers forgot our requests eg flatware. A dish for shrimp tails/mussel shells was not provided. I will not be recommending nor returning. Bad experience."

Situated in the heart of the upscale Chevy Chase shopping district, the decor of this two-level restaurant celebrates the golden age of travel with steamships, planes, and the famed Orient Express rail line. Chef Derrick Jackson uses flavorful, fresh ingredients to prepare American-style cuisine in the Travel Rooms on the main level, or in the casual atmosphere of the downstairs Race Bar and Dining Room. Bar on main level, and a new outside bar and dining area.

"Clyde's, which is in my neighborhood, is fair at best. I don't think the food is good, only fair. If a friend wants me to eat with him/her, I go; however, I never recommend Clyde's as a go-to restaurant, which is a shame because I live only a few blocks away...hence, it is convenient. But, so are other convenient restaurants that are much better."

Grapeseed American Bistro is a casual bistro that matches great food and wine together. With anywhere from 80 to 100 wines by the glass and approximately 325 bottle listed, we cater to the novice wine lover and to the experienced. We start with a bottle of wine and pick out the characteristics and nuances of the wine and then award winning Chef Jeffrey Heineman creates a menu item to highlight the flavors of the wine. So come in and relax, have a taste or a glass of wine and try something on our ever-changing menu.

"The restaurant was almost empty, which can cause discomfort. My friend and I had so much to talk about that it didn't really matter. Unfortunately, the one/only waiter made himself scarce and forgot to bring a few items to the table. They were out of a preferred tea and charged $4.00 for a cup of tea as opposed to the coffee charge of $2.50. We thought the tea price was outrageous and told the owner. The meal was definitely worth $10. And, we'd probably go back some time."
