Croton Reservoir Tavern has become a popular midtown lunch, dinner and after work gathering spot. Featuring a wondrous hand painted 150 sq foot mural of the reservoir in all its glory, dining at the Croton Reservoir Tavern allows you to enjoy a palpable turn of the century New York experience. The tavern’s 50 foot oak bar, brass studded leather chairs, wrought iron railings and leather banquet seating lay the backdrop for warmth and good cheer. Modern American cuisine and NYC’s most popular drinks are prepared to the highest of standards and served with relaxed charm and cheerful attentive service. Croton’s comfortable and casual atmosphere along with it's vibrant social scene, quality dining and special event hosting has made it one of New York’s most popular destinations.

"We typically have a good experience for drinks and dinner at this after work place and this time we had an even better one. Our server was very accommodating- allowing us to order off the bar / small plates menu too. Honestly, I think the restaurant made more by doing this than restricting us to the dinner menu. We had a nice booth toward the back- a little more private and spacious. Thanks for accommodating our requests and recognizing that we are repeat customers. It's gestures like these that keep us coming back!"

MADANGSUI “The Best Korean Prime Barbecue Restaurant in Midtown, Manhattan”<br />Who could resist the multiple sensory pleasures of Korean barbecue: the spicy, salty flavors and the combination of textures and temperatures(crisp lettuce juxtaposed with succulent grilled meat and fish), not to mention the hands-on fun of going through a pile of lettuce leaves, wrapping your own individual little barbecue “tacos” and popping them into your mouth.

"Love the Kalbi and the little pickled dishes and soups that came with our set menu of bbq. Also comes with steamed rice and lettuce to wrap the meats in. Excellent exhaust system since we did not smell like bbq after our meal. Very pleasant and attentive servers. The Japchae we ordered was really tasty as well!"

Buca di Beppo serves authentic Italian cuisine in an eclectic, vintage setting. Our dishes are served family-style, meant to be shared by everyone at the table. Two sizes are available: BUCA SMALL feeds two or more and BUCA LARGE feeds four or more. At Buca, guests delight in our lively atmosphere, enjoy the classic tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and admire our decor, including family photos and candid shots of Italian-American icons, such as Sophia Loren and Joe DiMaggio. Our energetic atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staff make Buca di Beppo the perfect place for great Italian food and fun.

"This was my second visit in a 5 day period. I first was invited for a group dinner hosted by my boss and except for the dessert, the experience with the food was not that great. The appetizers were ok but the entrees were not quite right. My family came to join me for the weekend and the reality is it is difficult to find availability for these types of restaurants in NYC during the height of the holiday season. We tried two other similar establishments in midtown and they were all booked for the weekend. I decided to give this another chance and was pleasantly surprised. The odd thing about this place though is in both instances we had reservations on Open Table and although one can see available tables in the restaurant, the hostess always makes you wait 5-10 minutes. How about they seat you immediately?
Anyway, I was glad we gave this another try. The calamari was crunchy and delicious. The pasta was cooked right - first time was too al dente. The meatballs were delicious, so was the lasagna. Other reviews said they put too much sauce in the pasta. This time there was too little sauce in our spaghetti.
All in all, I think it was a good relaxing lunch experience before heading out into the hustle and bustle of Times Square.
