Colterra invites you to escape to the country, just minutes from downtown Boulder in the charming historic town of Niwot. Happen upon the authentic romantic setting and enjoy classic French country food created by Chef/Owner Bradford Heap. Trained in France with 3 star Michelin Chef's Alain Ducasse and Georges Blanc, Bradford has taken his last endeavors to top Zagat ratings. His newest restaurant focuses on using the freshest local produce, respecting the pure simple flavors of seasonal ingredients. Knowledgeable wine pairings, complete with climate controlled cabinet provides the finest possible wines by the glass, making Colterra an experience not to be missed. "You can always count on delicious, fresh farm-to-table dining at Colterra. You may see the kitchen staff out trimming herbs from the garden surrounding the tables. The cocktails are fantastic! Being outside in the shade of the grand old trees is one of the best dining spots in CO. Service is often great, but this time it was less than attentive and our server seemed rushed and aloof. It was a busy day at Colterra so the staff may have been spread too thin."

Kachina-A modern Southwestern restaurant that sits comfortably close to Denver and Boulder, yet just far enough away to escape the exhaustive beat and to truly enjoy a festive gathering with friends and family.
There’s nowhere better to relax and soak in the rich Southwest culture and its spirited cuisine than Kachina: an inviting oasis where you can sit by a calming Kiva fireplace on an expansive patio while looking out toward the Rockies in the distance.
Our chefs take diners on a culinary journey back to the land with grilled bison, green chile burgers, posole, Navajo tacos and more, just as the locals have done for hundreds of years.
Kachina also features an extensive wine list, local & regional brews, and creative, crafted cocktails. Let Kachina's collection of handcrafted tequilas and artisan mezcals expand your horizon.

"The noise level at Kachina is the only negative - but it is constant. If they could deaden the acoustics with some soft surfaces, it would perfect an overall great dining experience. Great food, fun wait staff and an exciting ambiance combine for a nearly ideal dining spot, but not being able to have a conversation due to the noise is always a problem. We have dined here often, but we always wish the noise problem would get solved to make it perfect!"

"The ambiance is a little tired here, but the food is always excellent and the service is friendly, professional and attentive. A great place to graze from many innovative small plate options. Seafood is always excellent and well prepared at Zengo! A dining room refresh would enhance the dining experience!"

"The quality of the food is excellent. A petite fillet was cooked perfectly with a light red wine glaze and fresh mushrooms. A side of carmelized scallops was perfectly cooked and the maple glazed half-chicken was delicious. The warm mushroom and arugula salad was dressed with the perfect amount of a fantastic truffle dressing. Appetizers of stuffed mushrooms with crab and shrimp were a great start to the evening and delicious mini-desserts are a perfect finale. Cocktails are creative and well-prepared and decaf coffee with dessert was fresh and rich. The beautiful dining room only suffers from too loud piped-in music! Turn down the cheesy music to perfect the ambiance! The servers are professional, attentive and knowledgeable."

"Excellent seafood prepared perfectly with the ambiance and service expected in the finest steakhouse. The wedge salad was one of the best we've had. The jalapeno au gratin potatoes were delicious. The salmon with lobster gnocchi was outstanding and the crab cakes were very good, although the accompanying sweet corn cream slightly overpowered the succulent crab. The cocktail menu was creative and drinks well-prepared. The chocolate peanut-butter pie was sized for sharing and a perfect ending to the meal. Best decaf coffee I've had in ages! Service was impeccable from accommodating a special request for seating to attentive check-ins during the meal and ending with appropriate birthday attention. One of Denver's best dining options!"

The menus at Tamayo offer a modern interpretation of authentic Mexican food with recipes created by critically acclaimed Chef/Owner Richard Sandoval at his Maya Restaurant in New York City. Our warm décor is spectacular with amber & coral colored walls featuring exquisite artwork that includes silver encrusted toucans, silver and volcanic rock guacamole bowls & Mayan masks to keep a watchful eye over the restaurant. Tamayo is truly a unique dining experience for intimate business luncheons, dinners, social events and large celebrations as well.

"The food and service on this, our first visit, was very good. The menu offered new twists on mexican favorites and everything was well prepared. Thebeef skewers and chicken mole as well as the sides (poblano au gratin potatoes and sauteed spinach) were great. The Ambiance brought the whole experience down. We were seated inside under an orange leaded glass chandelier which had wadded up napkins or kleenex someone has apparetnly tossed into it along with dead moths and other stuff - felt like it was not clean. The decor looked very 80s but not in a retro way - just outdated and tired. The noise level made conversation very difficult. There are many other options on or near Larimer Square that offer a more pleasant dining experience."

"Mediocre, uninspired and predictable bar food served in a converted retail barn with no ambiance whatsoever. Unattended teenagers playing darts proved dangerous. Too noisy to talk across the small table. The location was close to Arvada Arts Center but a longer drive would have been a better choice. Service was capable and friendly."
