"From the warm greeting by the server to the attentive service team and excellent well seasoned fare - this first visit to Bocanova - left us wanting to return soon. The appetizers of spicy fried peppers, the citrus beet salad, the Spanish rice, scallops, ginger prawns and Brussels sprouts - were all truly excellent. Their special White Manhattan was an outstandingly crafted cocktail. All this topped of with harbor views of Jack London Square from comfortable heated patio seating made for a memorable meal! We'll be back!"

Experience the beauty of the Pacific Ocean, combined with world class dining on historic Cannery Row within walking distance to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Newly renovated, The Fish Hopper, once an original sardine cannery building, offers spectacular views of the beautiful Monterey Bay from every table including our heated outdoor patio. The Fish Hopper specializes in fresh sustainable seafood, certified Angus beef, pastas and live shellfish. Our seafood is either locally caught or shipped in fresh daily; our produce is locally grown in the Salinas Valley. Some favorites are fresh Monterey Bay abalone, Macadamia-crusted halibut, our famous “Tomahawk Chop” long bone-in Rib Eye, or fresh Dungeness Crab. Start your meal with our famous award-winning clam chowder. Indulge in one of our many exotic cocktail creations or enjoy a glass or bottle from our extensive wine collection. While enjoying your delicious meal, you can watch sea otters at play and even see the occasional whale.

"Once our server saw that we were not interested in the nearly $100 special Seafood Feast, he seemed to decide we were not worth his time. We asked several people for a condiment and, even after walking up to a service station to request it again, we had to wait until our food had cooled before we got it (it was requested at the time of order). You cannot beat the views from the table suspended out over Monterey Bay complete with otters, seals, seabirds and spectacular scenery. The food is very good and creative and most prices are reasonable for a touristy spot. If the service came close to the other elements, it could make for a positive memorable experience - maybe next time!"

"While the location, ambiance and views were great, the chicken wings were very undercooked and not the least bit crispy. The burger was average at best. Only the brussels sprouts were excellent. The server only appeared occasionally but was friendly. My wife said their pizza were very good at an earlier meal but this evening we left disappointed."

"We are always thrilled when we make a trip to Auberge. The view of wine country from high on their hillside deck is the best in the region. But they do not rest on their view laurels - the food is always excellent, innovative and superbly prepared and presented. From the delectable fresh breads to farm-fresh ingredients - they exceed all expectations - even at what are hearty prices! Dessert are always petite works of art - a perfect capstone to a memorable meal. The servers are attentive, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Cocktails are well crafted works of art commensurate with the rest of the operation! This day there was a big event in a space below the dining room but this large group was only minimally noticeable and the overall experience did not suffer in the least!"

"The ambiance is the big problem here - their tables are too small for their large plates, much of the seating is in a dark dreary space away from the windows and walled off by a divider - dark even at lunch - with no atmosphere at all. The New-Mexican fare is good - not great - the guacamole is bland as are the salsas. They need a make-over to spice up the menu and the décor!"

"Although we were seated in the only room I don't like at La Loma - avoid the room to the right when you enter - we had the same great food we have come to expect from La Loma. We've never been disappointed in the food we order here. The value is good for the price - you never leave hungry. The house-made chips and tortillas are great are always fresh and delicious! The service is always warm and welcoming. Seating outside on the porch is shaded and cool - just avoid that one room with it's cheesy plastic plants!"

"We had not been to Ship's Tavern in years. It never changes - and that's good - the Prime Rib was among the best I've had. The burger got rave reviews from a picky eater and while the crab cakes disappointed one guest - she is a native Baltimoron so the bar was set high! The server was very professional, responsive to special requests and knowledgeable - when we stumped him with a question, he sought out the answer and promptly delivered the info. to us. Cocktail prices seemed high compared to other local establishments. We need to come back more often!"

"Don't write off Kachina as average hotel dining - it exceeds all expectations consistently. The well spiced diverse menu is always a treat in a local dining landscape that seemingly promotes bland predictability. From their Navajo Tacos to their house salsas and hot sauces to the varied and delicious entrees and the beignets with spicy chocolate sauce - we never leave hungry or disappointed. The servers are knowledgeable and fun - take their advice on the "heat level" of any dish - they know their stuff! Oh - and the bar mixes some great drinks that are well suited to the lively spices on the menu!"

"Sam's never disappoints - the Lobster role is always superb - as are drinks, salads, chowders and desserts! The setting and views are spectacular. Servers tend to be spread thin and at times absent especially when seated outside, but that is partially due to Sam's always being busy. Still they never make you feel like just a number or a table needing to be turned - they give you time and space to savor a breathtaking sunset!"

"We had been to Sushi Roku in Las Vegas and loved it so we were anxious to try the Scottsdale location. It did not disappoint in outstanding menu selections of creatively prepared sushi rolls or in architecturally interesting ambiance. The seemingly hundreds of vanilla scented candles - while visually stunning - were overpowering in their scent which did not go well with the delicious food. Service was excellent - fun, attentive and professional."
