In 1984, Rosa Mexicano set a new standard for Mexican cuisine when it first opened in New York City. Playing a leading role in defining what was then a "new" cuisine to American diners, Rosa Mexicano delivers authentic Mexican cooking in an accessible, stylishly festive atmosphere. Rosa Mexicano's menu features a range of award-winning signature dishes, including our Guacamole en Molcajete, in a traditional lava rock mortar. Described by Time Out New York as "green ecstasy in a stone bowl," it is prepared table side and served with house made chips, warm corn tortillas and condiment salsas. Rosa Mexicano is also known for the Frozen Pomegranate Margarita, as well as the modern and festive ambiance.

Altesi, located at 26 East 64th Street is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (as well as Saturday & Sunday brunch) and, similar to his sibling Soho restaurant Savore, Altesi offers a menu consisting of Tuscan-inspired dishes. Conveniently located just off Madison Avenue Altesi has an outdoor dining space in its enclosed garden. Altesi is destination for neighborhood gem in search of elegant but authentic Italian food.

Barbalu is the marriage (literally) of husband and wife team Stefano Barbagallo and Adriana LUque.Their new Italian restaurant will be opening early fall, just a stones throw from the South Street Seaport. The couple prove their continued commitment to this historic district with the decision to rebuild in the same location as their old restaurant Barbarini, which was completely destroyed by Superstorm Sandy.

An LA landmark since its opening in 1983, The Ivy is the place to go for a great time in the City of Angels. From its star-studded crowd, to its jamming music, friendly wait-staff, killer cocktails and unbeatable food, this cozy, hip, neighborhood restaurant exemplifies the easy glamour and charm that California is all about.

Our highly anticipated second Rosa Mexicano location opened in July 2000. Just steps away from Lincoln Center, this impressive David Rockwell-designed space features a 30-foot iridescent blue tile water wall that spans both levels of the restaurant and is adorned with 240 miniature cliff divers. Here you’ll also find a dramatic “floating” staircase made of orange and red terrazzo slabs and backlit panels behind the bar embedded with rose petals. Awarded “Best Restaurant 2000” by Interiors Magazine, this unique, contemporary look ushered in a new era for us at Rosa Mexicano.

"I think this was our 5th straight Mother's Day at Rosa Lincoln Sq. It's been somewhat of a tradition and enjoyed every year. Generally I feel that this location is the best of the NYC restaurants as over the past few years standards have dropped. This year things did not go well with the food not making average and very slow service to say the least. 45 min's for Nachos and another 45 mins for the main course . Such a shame!
Waiter did his best but clearly there was a lack of staff on the floor and apparently in the kitchen. Not sure we will make it to our 6th year.
