MDCAT's Reviews

London's culinary revolution comes to Philadelphia with this unique gastropub. Cozy rooms and intimate bars create a storied, Old World aura, while updated seasonal takes on British food make up the menu. In keeping with tradition, our casks and tap craft beers are always rotating, a proper afternoon tea service has a sweet and savory menu and classic family-style roasts are served on Sundays.

"We had fish and chips and the roast beef sandwich. They were both very good but the fish and chips are outstanding!"

Fiola, Fabio Trabocchi's modern Italian Trattoria, features Italian cuisine with an emphasis on fresh local ingredients from our farms and markets. The menu will change constantly focusing on seasonal ingredients.

"The ambiance is nice, elegant but not stuffy. The little curtains in the kitchen windows are ugly and look dirty.
Service is attentive...when it happens. It took us 30 minutes to get the order in.
We ordered the burrata, the lobster ravioli (a specialty, according to our server), the fois gras and the tartare. Bomboloni for dessert.
The burrata salad and the fois gras were just ok.
The lobster ravioli had a lot of lobster (pro) but they were essentially chinese dumplings and were overpowered by the lemongrass in the dish.
The tartare was not prepared table side, and it was a French tartare, not the Italian tartara I expected
The bomboloni were filled with tasteless ricotta (why?!) and very heavy.
Won't go back.

Rasika is a modern Indian Cuisine restaurant showcasing Tawa (Griddle), Sigri (open Barbeque), Tandoori and regional dishes.<br />We have a temperature controlled wine cellar, offer small plates and a modern lounge.

"We have been trying to go to Rasika for a while now, because so many friends told us great things.
We managed to finally get a reservation at 9:15pm on a Wednesday, and we had high expectations.
The dishes were loaded with salt (and I eat quite salty). It is easy to make "yummy" dishes when loading them with salt, but taste in food should come from the fool, not from the salt. The highlight of the meal was the mango tarte tatin (not really an Indian dish), which was very good, followed by the chicken tikka. Everything else was just ok.
There are many more Indian restaurants which provide tastier more authentic food, and don't give you a heart attack.
Won't be back.
