"When making the reservation, I mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday. At the end of the meal, the waitress brought a cookie board with a candle. It was a wonderful, thoughtful gesture, and the perfect way to end a delicious lunch. The duck ruben and the truffle frites were amazing. Overall, great experience."

Lyon Hall is a modern bistro serving approachable Alsatian-inspired fare, including an extensive selection of house-made charcuterie and sausages. The menu changes with the season to highlight fresh produce from local farms, as do the pastries, desserts and fresh bread.The affordable wine list focuses on French selections, while the impressive beer list offers an extensive selection of European drafts and bottles. Located in an historic art deco building in the heart of downtown Clarendon, Lyon Hall is a vibrant neighborhood spot with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Perfect for an elegant dinner in the stylish dining room, frankfurters and beer flights with friends at the lively bar, or enjoying a warm evening on the patio with a bottle of wine and selections from the dynamic cheese menu. The private room located in our mezzanine level offers a great spot for small to medium size groups enjoying a private meal or cocktail reception.

"Overall, we really enjoyed our visit to Lyon Hall. The service was friendly and efficient, the steak tartar was excellent, escargot was tasty, and my duck cassoulet was warm and delicious. The only problem was the "Pho Lyon" mussels. The menu said that it included "chilies," but we were unprepared for the overwhelming spiciness in this dish. I'm a girl who eats undiluted wasabi and has never met a habanero I didn't like, but the Pho Lyon had tears streaming down my cheeks. It seemed as though there was at least a half cup of red pepper flakes dumped in there! I'm not sure whether this was a slip-up in the kitchen, or if the mussels are intentionally made that spicy, but even as someone who loves spicy food, these were too much."

Pernot's menus feature tantalizing tastes that are derived from the exotic island"s culinary traditions, which include Spanish, African, Creole and Asian influences. The restaurant's atmosphere transports guests to Old Havana circa the 1950s. One-of-a-kind millwork and architectural salvage including unique doors, gates, cabinetry, furniture and accessories help capture the essence of old Cuban architecture. Colorful exotic foliage and large potted palm trees add to Cuba Libre's open-air, tropical ambiance. Featuring a selection of over 70 rums, Cuba Libre's uniquely refreshing house specialty, the mojito, is made from the authentic Cuban recipe of combining rum, fresh lime juice, fresh mint leaves, a splash of soda and most distinctively, guarapo, sugar cane juice pressed daily on site.

"We've been to Cuba Libre before for dinner and it was nice. But our experience at their brunch was outstanding. Their unlimited tapas brunch was so much fun! The server was very helpful and generous - there was no attitude or eye rolling when we ordered more and more...and more! The food is very high quality and at $26, it's a great deal! We had trouble picking favorites, but the "raise the dead" soup was one of mine. I got so carried away describing how delicious it was that my husband had to tell me to lower my voice because I was making a scene! Definitely go - and the more in your group, the better."

Welcome to La Tagliatella Clarendon. We are a European-based Italian restaurant specializing in the rustic culinary traditions of Northern Italy. We import many of our key ingredients: tomatoes from Puglia; parmesan cheese from Emilia Romagna; gorgonzola cheese from Lombardia; buffalo's mozzarella from Campania; mushrooms from Trentino's region and focacia from Genova...We offer insalate, antipasti, our very own proprietary pastas and sauces; Napoletano-style pizze and several veal or filet mignon entrees. And don't pass on our desserts - they are truly unique and delicious. We have designed our restaurant with a beautiful full service bar for diners to enjoy Happy Hour, bar dining and socializing while enjoying one of our Specialty Cocktails, great wine or draft beer.

"It is so refreshing to find a restaurant that is so focused on providing top notch service! Unbeknownst to us, the kitchen sent out the wrong sauce for one of our dishes (they sent the truffle & mushroom instead of truffle & parmesan). When my husband asked for a little more sauce, the manager realized that we hadn't received what we ordered (even though the mistake was also delicious), and insisted on replacing the meal with the correct one...and removed the cost of that meal from our bill. The waiter (who had correctly entered the order) was also very apologetic and made sure that everything was remedied quickly. This is the type of service that makes you want to return frequently and tell everyone you know to go there too."
