Chef Jean‑Georges introduces his latest venture, a casually elegant restaurant ensconced in the picturesque town of Pound Ridge, New York. Here, Jean‑Georges cultivates a truly seasonal, farm-to-table cuisine, with ingredients sourced from the Hudson Valley and New England, whenever possible. Constructed in 1833 as a residence and serving later as an inn, the building has been painstakingly renovated to preserve as many of the original materials as possible, including four working fireplaces. Thomas Juul-Hansen designed the restaurant’s interior with a modern yet rustic sensibility; zinc and marble accent stone and reclaimed wood. The restaurant’s lighting, artfully conceived by Hervé Descottes, employs paper shades and Edison fixtures to create warmth throughout.

Visit our website to learn more about The Inn at Pound Ridge by Jean-Georges http://www.theinnatpoundridge.com/

"I am a definite foodie and go to a LOT of restaurants. Had not been here for probably 20 years, when it was still Emily Shaw's. It is transformed and if I hadn't known it was the same place, never would have guessed it. Unusual, very contemporary decor AND menu choices. My daughter and i shared 4 appetizer's for lunch - the shrimp salad was to die for and other dishes all good as well. Beet salad, crab crostini and basil gimlet cocktail all out standing as well. We'll be back!

"Had the beet gnocchi from the appetizer menu as my main course and it was without a doubt one of the most delicious restaurant dishes I have ever had. I will go back and have the same dish again but skip the crab fondue, which was just so so.

Built in 1790 as a barn and named for local farmer John Kittle, the farm to table connection that began back then continues today at Crabtree's Kittle House. Internationally renowned for its Wine Spectator Grand Award wine list, superlative hospitality and contemporary American cuisine, it is a sophisticated country dining experience located only 45 minutes from Manhattan. Whether stopping in for a casual meal in the Tap Room or planning a formal intimate celebration from 2 to 200 guests, you'll find something for everyone and every occasion at Crabtree's Kittle House. The culinary team focuses on the local bounty of the Hudson Valley, from the casual Tap Room menu of salads, LaFrieda burgers & fresh cold shellfish to the more refined cuisine on the a la carte and Chef's Tasting menus, available in both the Tap Room & Dining Room. And nowhere is there a greater selection of fine wines (5000!) and other libations. Also a Bed & Breakfast, there are 13 rooms for overnight accommodations

"Eat here often but forgot that Thursday nights are "music" night. It was a little loud for a quiet dinner with good friends but enjoyed it, as always, despite the noise. Prefer a NON music night next time when going with others; Music OK if just the two of us. Susan"
