"The best seafood anywhere in the DC area. Oysters are plump and juicy, My rockfish was perfectly prepared and the asparagus soup served cold was simply amazing. The servers were knowledgeable and attentive to our theater time. they know the menu well including all the ingredients. There is one non fish item on the menu - a NY strip steak - which the next table had. It, too, appeared perfectly prepared. It was being devoured. I can't wait to return!"

"The food was generally creative, but the size of the portions was unpredictable. My eggplant appetizer was very large, the shrimp entrée, while excellent, was appetizer size. The flavors were a delightful mix of hot and tame. Our server had difficulty determining what was an appetizer and what was an entrée and kept asking how/when we wanted each dish. My husband, who loves martinis, was annoyed that his martini tasted watered down. He should have sent it back - but didn't."

"We went to District Common for pre theater and it was perfect. The service is attentive and as fast as you would like. We told our server our schedule and she met it as promised. The food is not fancy but it is fresh and good. I had a delicious flat bread and my husband had an equally delicious pasta dish. Noise level is quite challenging - but we were there at the beginning of the Cherry Blossom Festival which meant the restaurant was more crowded than it otherwise might have been on a Sunday evening.
we will definitely return."

"We went for Easter brunch. It was a delight. Food was creative - "Popover a la Casa Luca" which was a puffed pancake with maple ice cream and maple syrup. Service was thoughtful and excellent. A mimosa greeted us as we were seated. It was a lovely brunch for any Sunday but special for Easter!"

There's a time each year when Rome shimmers with a celebration known as "White Nights." It's an all-night festival of culture and the arts, but most importantly to us, it's a celebration of food and drink! Notti Bianche and Executive Chef Michael Cassady embrace this spirit each day serving seasonal, reasonably priced Italian trattoria fare throughout the day!

"Notti Bianchi is our "go-to" restaurant prior to a performance at the Kennedy Center. The service is responsive to our needs and the servers re delightfully pleasant. Food is both creative and good with a pleasing Italian emphasis. My scallops on a bed of parsnip puree was outstanding and my husband's tagliatelli with veal ragu was exceptional. We look forward to our next visit!"

"RUE 57 is just right on an evening when you want to hang out and kick back. The food is good. My husband would say the onion soup was awesome. I had sushi which was excellent. The feeling of the place is energetic and it moves quickly. We had a great time and it just fit our mood at the end of a long work day!"

Enjoy a fantastic culinary experience and unequalled skyline views through two-story windows high above the Potomac River. The contemporary interior features chrome, glass, suede, and wood with accents of granite. Check out the critically-acclaimed Sunday Kitchen Buffet Brunch. The Roof Terrace Restaurant & Bar is located on the Roof Terrace level of the Kennedy Center above the Hall of Nations.

"Roof Terrace has definitely improved in the last few years. It is a good choice for pre-theater and the prices are not much if any more than the next-door cafeteria. I would not go out of my way to go - but if one is going to the Kennedy Center for a performance, it is most enjoyable."

"We love to go to Notti Bianchi. The food is excellent, the ambiance pleasantly unusual and the service well informed. It is a 5 minute walk to the Kennedy Center which is another plus! Last night I had a venison carpaccio and veal ragu on Tagliatelle - both were outstanding. Pasta can be ordered in 1/2 size portions - Yumm. Wines by the glass are excellent and are never kept too long after they have been opened. Go and Enjoy!"

"Notti Bianchi is our favorite for pre theater. On Sunday we were in the neighborhood and they had space. The restaurant was fairly quiet - all the theater people had left. T he food was excellent as well as the service. Tendency is for young energetic servers who are very knowledgeable - quite a delight. we will go again - and not just for pre theater!"

"Fiola is outstanding in almost every way! The only drawback was waiting more than 30 minutes for our table and then sitting in the bar. Admittedly it was Christmas Eve - but they knew that when the reservation was made. The food is quite literally ethereal! We had the 4 course al a Carte menu - the veal stuffed with foie gras was beyond compare. We also had an awesome tomato soup, lobster ravioli, tuna tartare and delicious desserts. the wine list is exhaustive and the wine steward very helpful without suggesting wines beyond a reasonable budget. The price tag is significant, but totally understandable based on the quality of what emerges from the kitchen and wine cellar."
