"Rasika never fails! The food, flavors, ambiance, service, choices can only be described in superlatives. Our waiter steered us in the direction of how many dishes to choose, the best (and not the most expensive) wines to go with the meal. We loved every bite and can not wait to return!"

Located on bustling Washington Circle in the West End, District Commons is anchored by a monumental raw bar and an open hearth oven for flatbreads and savory tarts. A 'Pig Board' of ham and biscuits will showcase a selection of America's finest hams. Chef/Owner Jeff Tunks serves up classic American cuisine in this gorgeous setting. Chili Glazed Duck, Brick Pressed Chicken, Classic Hanger Steak - these choices and more! Freshly baked breads and desserts round out your meal. Try one of our regional American drafts or exquisite wines, or sample from the 99 Beers on the Wall!

"It's a big restaurant with many tables and a roomy bar. We were there on a Sunday when it was not so busy, but, according to my husband,, it can get to be very lively. I thought the food was very fine with portions just the right size. The pretzel bread served with garlic butter was special and very good. we went pre-theater which was fun and the server was cognizant of our time constraints. Wine list by the glass was commendable. Can't wait to return!"

"Small plates of delectable food. there were 5 of us and we ordered 10 dishes. ALL were very good. Some I wished we could have had more, but 2 plates each was a good amount. The stuffed zucchini blossoms were very much a winner as was the sausage dish. Wines were inexpensive and good - we happened on a 1/2 price night which made them even better. The more people who have joining you, the more fun as you can try more dishes. EXCELLENT"

"What a find! I have walked by on many occasions and have not been in for years. I was delightfully surprised and pleased. the Crab tower was superb- the freshest crab with no filler stacked with avocado and more. It was a bit too hearty than what I may have desired for a "light" lunch, but I certainly managed to finish every bite. The bread is made in house and is likewise very good. My husband had a burger which he said was delicious. The service was attentive - but not cloying. And the place is pretty! White table cloths and flowers on the tables. I look forward to returning."

There's a time each year when Rome shimmers with a celebration known as "White Nights." It's an all-night festival of culture and the arts, but most importantly to us, it's a celebration of food and drink! Notti Bianche and Executive Chef Michael Cassady embrace this spirit each day serving seasonal, reasonably priced Italian trattoria fare throughout the day!

"Notti Bianchi is our favorite restaurant pre theater. Food is good, wines by the glass are excellent and you can specify you wish a bottle opened that day. Pastas are excellent as is the Caesar salad. It is quaint has a feel all its own. The servers know what they are serving and go out of their way to please. My husband says the very dry Hendricks gin martinis are among the Best!"

With the look and feel of one of the "Great Camps" of the Adirondacks, Tower Oaks Lodge serves an American-style saloon menu. Adjacent to a 21-acre nature preserve, Tower Oaks Lodge is located just off I-270. The raw bar features oysters from both coasts.

"Tower Oaks is a great place to meet with friends, share a glass of wine, have some very good food and enjoy the atmosphere - which if fun. The Salmon Gravlax appetizer was excellent, the fried artichoke needed flavor but was OK. The restaurant is a good standby and has options for eating which will please every appetite."

Enjoy a fantastic culinary experience and unequalled skyline views through two-story windows high above the Potomac River. The contemporary interior features chrome, glass, suede, and wood with accents of granite. Check out the critically-acclaimed Sunday Kitchen Buffet Brunch. The Roof Terrace Restaurant & Bar is located on the Roof Terrace level of the Kennedy Center above the Hall of Nations.

"the food here is definitely much improved over days gone by. My husband was ecstatic with his fillet and French fries. My crab cake was OK. Our server remembered us from several weeks ago and was excellent. the view of Washington could not be better. It is most pleasant restaurant prior to theater - they have a ways to go before it is just a Great Restaurant."

"Their speciality is wine and they serve it by the flight, glass or bottle. the wines are varied and good. I love the food - both variety and size choice. You can have small plates or real entrée size meals. We were two and had a charcuterie plate, salad to split, chicken pate and one additional dish. they were all tasty and perfectly sized. Our wait person was good and knowledgeable. It is a fun place for a not fancy but excellent dinner."

Riccardo started his career at a very young age in Milan's prestigious "GIRARROSTO" family owned. Then, in 1982 he moved to the United States and he opened the famous Sonny Bono's in Los Angeles. In 1987 he started to work with his cousin Roberto Ruggeri (owner of Bice's Venture), with him he opened Bice New York, Los Angeles and many others around the world. <br /><br />Now, after three years as Executive Chef of Bice in Chicago, and together with his wife (and sous chef), Veronica, and his cousin (and hostess), Barbara, he decided to continue his gastronomic artistry and creativity in his restaurant named after himself "Riccardo Trattoria."<br /><br /><br />Here through the craftsmanship of an Italian food connoisseur, dishes are prepared with an almost zen-like essentiality that has shaped Riccardo's professional and existential life course.

"Great food, atmosphere, and a fun time. The orchiette were awesome; the squash blossoms superlative and the food in general very very fine. The sommelier steered us to an excellent wine well within our price range and a good time was had by all!"
