There's a time each year when Rome shimmers with a celebration known as "White Nights." It's an all-night festival of culture and the arts, but most importantly to us, it's a celebration of food and drink! Notti Bianche and Executive Chef Michael Cassady embrace this spirit each day serving seasonal, reasonably priced Italian trattoria fare throughout the day!

"Notti Bianchi is our favorite pre theater restaurant. They have a new menu and it appears to be just as good as the prior menu. The service is engaging and responsive. My husband always parks the car while I go in to a restaurant. He really appreciates having a martini waiting for him when he arrives - it was! I had the duck breast which was excellent. My husband's Caesar salad was fresh and will constructed. As we were going to the theater we had wines by the glass and they were freshly opened, well selected and paired well with the food. YUMM!"

The team from Tamarind, in the Flatiron District, have opened a new restaurant in Tribeca. Tamarind's team of dedicated chef's draw on India's varied regions to take diners on a culinary voyage of the subcontinent. The restaurant's menu includes dishes from Punjab, Hyderabad, Goa, Madras, Lucknow, and Calcutta. India's assertive spices and seasonings distinguish its cooking from all others.

"What wonderful flavors! We enjoyed every bite and were so sorry when we were full. The menu is extensive and the servers/wait staff very knowledgeable concerning ingredients, flavors, degrees of heat and such. I had a shrimp dish and my husband had lamb - both exceptional. The appetizers were equally excellent. We had expected a restaurant with an Indian décor. It is not, but it is very tasteful and elegant with wood tones and soft lighting. The wine selection was excellent and the prices most reasonable. Give it a try - I think you will enjoy."

"A most pleasant experience. White table cloths, an assorted menu, good wine choice by the glass and even half bottles. Matzo ball soup in a miso broth was excellent as was the halibut. The server had great personality and was helpful re dietary needs. Being next door to Carnegie Hall makes it a good pre-theater venue. A most pleasant evening!"

Offering seasonally focused, contemporary American seafood, where only the finest and freshest seafood is highlighted. Guests will be enchanted by the superb selection of raw bar favorites and delicious appetizers which include East & West Coast Oysters, Chilled Lobster, and expertly seasoned Yellowfin Tuna Tartare. Entrée selections are sure to delight, with succulent Alaskan King Crab Legs, elegant Herb Basted Black Bass and the menu wouldn't be complete without the addition of SFG's Surf & Turf - tender filet mignon and buttery steamed lobster.
The sleek interior, with tile floors, shimmering blue lighting, and mirrored accents give the space a modern edge while the Main Dining Room takes cues from a classic steakhouse with dark wood floors, wainscoting, and a roaring marble fireplace. SFG boasts not one but two private dining options for more intimate events. The Sea Fire Grill lends the perfect balance to refined cuisine, chic décor, and impeccable service.
"WOW! We thought we would like the restaurant from the write up in Zagat but we had no idea how much we would like it. Every bite was one to savor. The three of us ordered fish, each different, and each superb. The side of creamed spinach was the best ever - and I am a tough critic of creamed spinach. Breads were excellent as was the accompanying spread of marscapone, herbs and more. Wait staff were appropriately attentive but not hovering. This is a real gem!"

Over the years together, Wolfgang Ban and Eduard Frauneder have perfected their own modern take on Austrian cuisine - one which combines traditional techniques, contemporary innovations, and updates to some of their favorite childhood dishes. The team behind the prestigious private catering group, Elderberry Catering, chefs Ban and Frauneder, together with a small group of investors, have opened Seasonal Restaurant & Weinbar, their first venture open to the public. Their goal is to provide elegant home-cooking in a sleek but welcoming setting.

The chefs at Seasonal pride themselves on maintaining the utmost quality in their cuisine, and therefore, consistent with its name, the kitchen uses only the freshest seasonal ingredients. The visual presentation of each plate is the final step in the process, and the chefs have ensured that the look of each plate matches the refinement of the food itself and the décor, creating an unforgettable dining experience.

"This restaurant has earned it's Michelin star. It is excellent! The food is authentically Austrian, and the service is superb. The Wiener schnitzel rivals my mother's and the side dishes are perfect. the wine list is extensive and well conceived. The waiters were available when any addition was needed, but did not "hang around." We visit on every trip to NYC and will be back again."

"If you are not going to picnic and you are going to Wolf Trap then you want to go, for dinner, to Ovations. It is all buffet with a very wide assortment to fit all tastes and desires. The chef will work with you if you are plagued with allergies. Food is fresh and loaded with flavor. Spent dishes are immediately replaced so that the serving line is always looking fresh. One sits in an open air fancy tent with a view of the lawns and picnicers. Go and enjoy!"

Blue Duck Tavern, a contemporary neighborhood restaurant, invites its guests to gather and celebrate in good taste with a menu focusing on the freshest ingredients available from local purveyors and artisans. The menu notes every farm where the main ingredient for the dish was raised before its journey to the table. Dishes are genuine, time-honored and traditional -- slow roasting in wood embers, braising, preserving and smoking techniques bring the true flavors of America's great, simple and wholesome foods to the Blue Duck Tavern.

The restaurant has an elegant residential feel through the open staff pantry and kitchen, wood-burning oven and the showpiece Molteni range.

*Please note that for diners bringing in wine, a $35 corkage fee (per 750 ml bottle of wine), with a limit of two bottles, will be charged.

"It was our 51st wedding anniversary! I wanted somewhere special but not too over the top. We had been to Blue Duck for pre theater dinner, but it was always rushed. This was a long leisurely dinner and was superb! I got a scallop appetizer which is not to be missed - a ceviche and thin smoked slices of scallop with micro greens and superb vinaigrette. My husband had a lettuce wedge which was made with a leaf lettuce - he loved it. My duck breast was super and his bison steak exceptional. Food is served with attention to flavor - and a bit of whimsy. YUMM. And if you like good wines, Blue Duck will not disappoint. Broad selection at (relatively) reasonable prices. We look forward to a return visit."

"The menu was a delight for the senses - I only wish I had had a larger appetite and could have eaten more!! The lobster ravioli served as both an appetizer or main dish was heavenly. The taste of the lobster was present in every bite and the mushrooms served with the dish were superb. Also superb was the Halibut with lobster mushrooms. YUMM! the wine list was well conceived. Our server, however, was anything but knowledgeable concerning the wines and offered no assistance from anyone that was knowledgeable. A somewhat minor glitch in an otherwise excellent and delicious evening."

"Utterly awesome! The food is outstanding in every way. I wanted to savor every morsel and was so very sorry when I had cleaned my plate; I wished I could lick it. My only complaint was that there were so many tasty things on the menu, it was hard to choose. The wine list was reasonably priced and excellent. The restaurant is a bit noisy, but it was a Saturday and they were BUSY! It was not so loud you had to shout to be heard. I can't wait to find a reason to come back"
