CIRCA at Foggy Bottom, the third of our three CIRCA bistro concepts, was created in 2011 to be a welcoming space for our neighbors to come together and enjoy a great, seasonal meal with a great drink. Today, we take pride on our seasonal menu that stays true to our classic American favorites but continues to evolve. With CIRCA, we tried to create the type of place we love to frequent - energized urban locations with great patios, American fare, a vibrant community bar scene with Happy Hour, extensive wine and beer lists, and craft cocktails for every season. We wanted to ensure outstanding service at every location, with a team that is the best in the business.

"Although the wait staff was very good, Circa’s food was below average. There are lot’s other places in the area to eat with better food and more selection."

A most charming dining spot, the Old Angler's Inn has been immortalized in countless Washington D.C. novels as a romantic winter getaway, sitting before the fireplace and perusing the menu. It is equally glorious in the summer when the main action moves to the incomparable terrace.

"A nice and cozy place to be on a winter’s night. Menu is quite limited and food is good, not great. You go for the wood burning fireplace and old world quietness. We suggest that management make it more clear where the entrance is - we walked through a dark tent with no sign that we could see and we weren’t sure if we were in the right place."

"We enjoyed our dinner but be prepared - this place is VERY noisy. It’s fun to watch them prepare the food on the hibachi, and they try to imitate real Japanese cooks and twirl some serving utensils arounds (not knives), but the downside is it took so long to cook the food that the first items (rice, veggies) were cold by the time the meat landed on our plates. Anyway, it was good and a fun experience."

Washington’s destination for power dining, the Lafayette Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner & Sunday brunch. With large windows opening onto Lafayette park & the White House, this sun-lit dining room is one of the most elegant settings in the capital & is certain to complement any dining experience.

BRIO (meaning "lively" or "full of life") is a "polished casual" restaurant serving authentic, northern Italian cuisine. The subtitle, "Tuscan Grille" is descriptive for a menu that features oven-roasted steaks, chops, and seafood; similar to what one would find in an authentic ristorante in Tuscany. BRIO's philosophy of "to eat well, is to live well" is why they only use the finest and freshest ingredients. BRIO brings the pleasure of a Tuscan country villa to the American city. "The decor was nice, we had good service, and maybe it was just what we ordered, but the food wasn’t that great. Also, they seem to have a more limited menu on weekends, which is kind of weird. We ate the the Brio in Rockville last year and the food was much better, so I’d give this one another chance."
