"Ambience terrific. Kale salad lovely. Pizza was dry and, frankly, just bad. a real disappointment. Our server was attentive but had an odd habit of talking in the third person . My friend and I were okay when the server asked "How are we doing tonight?" but we thought it strange when he inquired "What are we having for dinner tonight?" As though
perhaps the waiter was joining is???

Our newest location! Reservations are not required. Contact us for large parties or special events. Feel free to contact us regarding our seating policy. Yes, we do serve brunch/lunch on Sunday with a great prix fixe including "The Best French Toast in DC", Steak and Eggs, Eggs Benedict and bottomless bloody Marys, mimosas and screwdrivers. During the evenings, Medium Rare offers a unique, prix fixe dinning experience of artisan bread; a mixed green salad; prime, dry-aged steak; and hand-cut fries in a relaxed, fun, neighborhood environment. As we do only one thing, we do our best to make the food and experience exceptional and also a good value. There are only a carefully selected wines, spirits, and draft beer choices. We offer an off-menu vegetarian option.

"The best (and best bargain) brunch in Barracks Row. What a wonderful place to be on a Saturday morning after halloween. Steak and eggs + perfect for the day. The place has a great friendly neighborhood feel. Nice service, excellent steak menu. Simple menu - steak, eggs, french toast, salad, EXCELLENT Bloody Mary. Extremely family friendly and at $23 for brunch - what a deal!"

DBGB is Chef Daniel Boulud's casual restaurant specializing in house-made sausages, burgers and seasonal Lyonnais-inspired bistro cuisine. Located at CityCenter in the Penn Quarter, DBGB is a short walk to the Convention Center, Verizon Center, and The White House. We serve dinner seven nights a week, lunch Monday to Friday, and brunch on the weekends in a casual yet comfortable setting. Bar and lounge seating is always available and walk-ins are encouraged. Two spacious private rooms accommodating from 12-50 people are located on our second floor. We look forward to serving you!

"Just spectacular in every way. Service was superb. Server was excellent, gave great suggestions on the menu and wine pairings. We loved that the place was buzzing with activity but that we could speak across a table in normal voices. This is a place we will frequent often. There were too many wonderful things on the menu so we have to come back for more."

Carmine’s is a family style, value-driven restaurant concept with locations in NYC, NJ, Nassau Bahamas, and Washington DC. Restaurateur Artie Cutler created Carmine’s with one goal in mind: to open a restaurant that would serve every meal in the style of an Italian American wedding feast, featuring extra large portions of home-style antipasto, pastas, seafood and meat entrees served on extra large platters designed for sharing. Carmine’s is the perfect place to casually enjoy friends and family over great food and wine, with excellent service, the way it used to be at grandma’s house.

"Carmine's is perfect for a place to work over lunch. We were seated at a large table even though it was just 4 of us so we had generous space to eat and work. We split a delicious roasted vegatable salad and a seafood pasta special. I have found that even though Carmine's has a huge menu that doesn't change it is alway good to try the daily salad and pasta specials. They are always a delicious treat. The best part -- we divided the check and it was $16 per person -- and we all had enough leftovers for dinner!"

"Extraordinary doesn't even begin to describe the experience at The Ashby Inn. We selected the multiple course tasting menu with wine pairings. Every course was better than the last and the wines were some of the best we've tried anywhere. Kudos to this gorgeous place on the new chef's menu. We will return again ... and again."
