Where the freshest and often deceptively simplest ingredients are combined and cooked into art. The cozy room, often dotted with celebs, is elegant but there’s nothing fussy about the menu. Here you’ll find favorites such as a fresh-vegetable minestrone; wild mushroom risotto; and spinach and ricotta cheese gnocchi. Garlic, fresh herbs and olive oil dress many of the pasta, meat and fish dishes; and the veal scaloppini gets a different preparation every night. When an Italian spot is as classic as this, how can you skip a dessert of tiramisu? Our extensive wine list complements your meal, with selections mainly from Italy, France and California.

Nonna is Italian for grandmother, but besides respect for tradition, this spacious Sunset Strip ingenue is molto moderno. The restrained elegance of gleaming wood floors, paneled walls, and minimalist furnishings is offset by the exuberant energy from the large display kitchen.<br /><br />Dishes are carefully made from superior ingredients and presented simply in generous portions. The menu showcases excellent products in plates of tangy, imported buratta, or prosciutto and melon. A bowl of orecchiette topped with ground sausage and aged pecorino is nothing fancy but made with care. Lighter Californian fare like thin-crust pizza and seared ahi tuna can also be found.<br /><br />A glassed-in wine cellar has a strong collection of reds from Tuscany and Piedmont.

This Mediterranean wine bistro has a West Coast shabby chic vibe, complete with showy linen drapes, rustic wooden tables and boisterous, hip diners. The tapas menu features both cold (ranging from antipasto to an assortment of olives) and hot (including bacon wrapped medjool dates and braised beef short ribs) varieties.

Everyone asks us the meaning of our restaurant. Mt is the abbreviation for Mountain and 8848 is the height (in meters) of the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. The height of the mountain represents the quality of our food, and mountain represents the honest natural ingredients we put into every gourmet dish here at Mt8848. We promise we will always stand by our name with honest food and honest ingredients! Authentic European food with a bit of Himalayan cuisine, like our famous Dumplings (Momos), Royal Dal Bhat, tasty Thundering Chicken, popular Chicken Tikka Masala and our world class desserts!
