Philip Marie, located in New York's West Village, is, quite frankly, a neighborhood gem.

The menu is a brilliant fusion of New American Cuisine, and the wine list offers incredible wines from all over the world.

Philip Marie is not only known for consistently innovative cuisine, but also for its warm and attentive staff and maintaining an extremely devoted clientele.

About Our Executive Chef & Owner

John P. Greco III is well known throughout the restaurant communitiesof New York, Rome, Milan, Frankfurt and Brazil. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Before opening Philip Marie, he worked at such renowned establishments as San Domenico, NYC & Imola, Italy, Cipriani/Harry's Bar, NYC & Venice, Le Cirque, NYC and Torre di Pisa in New York, where he was executive chef. With classical training and broad experience, Greco's love of American Heartland preparations has inspired his creative take on good ol' American food.

"The food at this charming bistro is outstanding. Fish tacos and Nut and berry salad were each tasty and beautifully presented. Service is friendly, albeit a tad slow. Bar was bustling considering it was a Tuesday afternoon- 2 for 1 is obviously a draw!"

Located directly across from the Museum of Natural History, Ocean Grill has been a staple for Upper West Side seafood lovers for years. Sample daily selections from the Raw and Sushi bars, paired with a featured wine and other fresh seafood. Feeling creative? Ocean Grill allows you to create your own meal with our daily list of Simply Grilled Fish served with your choice of sauce and seasonal side dish. Relax in the candle-lit lounge or refined dining area that resembles a luxury liner, complete with oversized mirrors and round porthole windows looking into the kitchen. The adjacent photo room is lined with retro black and white seaside snapshots and is a perfect spot for romance or celebration and as always kids are welcome.

"Met a friend at 5 at this elegant spot on Columbus, right near the Museum of Natural History. Since it was so early, the hostess graciously seated us at a table for four. Lucky us, it was also restaurant week. My friend enjoyed the lobster bisque and cocoanut flavored mahi mahi, and then got the dessert to go. I loved the kale salad and crab cake. The food here is exceptional, the service polite and helpful. By the time we left, the place was hopping, but we never felt rushed. A wonderful experience."

Casual yet upscale neighborhood restaurant with dining on 2 floors, 2 bars & a lovely garden with koi pond & fountain. Eclectic American menu featuring tapas, soups, salads, pastas, steaks, chops, fresh fish & several vegetarian options. Conveniently located in the heart of Chelsea.

"Comfortable spacing between tables in the upstairs dining room makes this a good spot for catching up with old friends. The food is amazingly good for such a reasonably priced restaurant.
Special snapper over linguini was superb, as was the fried chicken. Excellent value for the price."

Since 1965, Joe Allen has been a quintessential New York restaurant serving a classic American menu in the heart of the Theater District. Just two blocks from Times Square, it has been a favorite of Broadway performers, locals, and tourists for almost 50 years.

Please note that we take reservations up to 7 days in advance.

"Perfect location for a meal before going to a show. Haven't been to this former favorite for a few years. It has held up quite well. The menu is small, but well executed. You are in good hands here."

"First visit, chose it for location (pre-theater). Service was friendly and professional, a tough combination to manage. Ribs and salmon entrees were both superb, but broccoli was tough, and calamari appetizer just blah. Drinks were good sized for the price. All in all, I would go back."

Established in 1936, Monkey Bar was returned to its former glory in 2009 by Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter.

The dining room's lush red leather banquettes and dim, attractive lighting have restored the fizzy thrill of dining in a restaurant - both attractive and cozy - and harken back to a bygone era when a gentleman never left the house without a tie and a lady always had a pair of white gloves in her purse.

Monkey Bar's menu boasts American classics alongside seasonal dishes using sustainable and organic products whenever possible.

"The room is fantastic. I would call it a New York treasure. It is an expensive restaurant (dinner for four at $100 a person when 2 people got hamburgers). Waiter was a little annoying, spilled water on the table, but only offer was did we want to move. Still, the ambience makes up for the rest."

A neighborhood bar restaurant occupying the space of a 1920’s bank. The décor is inspired by nineteenth century Parisian establishments. Terra Cotta textured walls, dimly lit chandelier’s, copper table tops & curved banquette seating create a very unique and intimate setting.
Executive Chef, John J. Loughran formerly of River Café in Brooklyn has created a menu that changes seasonally; using the best of locally sourced ingredients. Chef John’s philosophy, buy local and be creative. This is evident in every dish you taste at Banc Café.
Our cocktails are created using fresh fruit & natural ingredients.
We feel that tasty food & flavorful drinks provided with honest friendly service is a great way to win someone over. We hope that someone is you.
Enjoy!
"Rainy Monday night, but the place was jumping. Perhaps the Happy Hour prices? Lots of people watching opportunities to go with the excellent food. Chopped salad was tasty and easy to eat, quesadilla more than enough for dinner. Service was efficient, although not particularly warm."
