Since the summer of 2003, CLIFFS EDGE has been a staple among East Side Hipsters and West Side Dining Enthusiasts alike. A luscious outdoor patio and eclectic California Cuisine instantly transports you to a distant island in The Mediterranean.<br />The atmosphere is both warm and inviting. The spacious interior has a Bohemian appeal with tapestry lined walls and rattan chairs. The Dining Room also offers a lavish Redwood bar to quench your desire for many a libation. The house specialties are Richard Swan’s Glasgow Mule and our Cliff's Manhattan along side an extensive yet equally impressive wine list. <br />The outdoor dining patio and gardens boast a tropical island feel. A massive centerpiece tree and abundant greenery create an outdoor haven within Los Angeles…Join us for a one of a kind dining experience.

"I enjoyed everything about my post-hike brunch here last Sunday! We arrived before our reservation but were seated promptly. The setting is really pretty - we sat outside in the courtyard, the tables are spaced out well and there is a big tree providing nice shade everywhere. It was so relaxing!
Our waiter was really nice, told us everything we needed to know about the food. The drinks were a little slow to come out but food came out at a good pace. The brussels sprouts were delicious as was the frisee salad with lardons. The rest of the food was great too; my friends enjoyed their shakshuka and kale/brioche thing. The mezcal drink wasn't that great - I wouldn't order that again (and I love mezcal) but the bloody mary made up for it.
Overall - I would definitely recommend for brunch and I'm sure dinner is awesome too."

Mercado on 3rd St. is the 2nd location for partners Jesse Gomez and Executive Chef Jose Acevedo. The restaurant is an inventive mix of food, atmosphere and tradition, reflecting the heart & soul of new Mexican dining. The restaurant is set up as several different spaces, with the main dining area as a covered patio space that looks out to 3rd street for a beautiful view. The open air bar is a relaxing way to enjoy a cocktail and food. The menu exemplifies the cuisine and flavor of the partners Mexican roots, featuring items such as Chef Acevedo's signature Carnitas, created from a recipe handed down through generations. With tortillas made by hand, the finest meats, poultry and seafood, flavorful sauces, enchiladas and tacos, produce from the local farmers' market, and everything made from the freshest ingredients, Mercado offers handcrafted cuisine, artful design, warm atmosphere and service that is both friendly and informed to guide each guest through the dining experience.

"Really enjoyed dinner here before going to see a band at Molly Malone's a few blocks down. Good cocktail menu - I particularly enjoyed the spicy cucumber margarita with mezcal instead of tequila. The choriqueso starter was awesome - really good consistency and didn't harden up when it cooled like regular queso does. We were feeling carnivorous that night, so ordered accordingly. The carne asada was a very nice size and came cooked perfectly, if a little under-seasoned. The grilled corn under it was all right. The carnitas plate was the best thing all night though - a huge hunk of pork with the most delicious sauce and cooked so perfectly tender it made me proud to eat it. The roasted cauliflower under it was also incredible. I could come back for that dish again and again.
Dinner was so great we had no room left for dessert, but we would have gladly stayed longer. The ambiance was energetic but intimate and we were able to have a comfortable conversation without having to shout. Service was friendly but not suffocating. Five stars for the whole experience."

Farmshop, opened in 2010, is a Restaurant and an Artisanal Market & Bakery located in the historical 1948 Brentwood Country Mart on 26th Street in Santa Monica. <br /><br />Jeff Cerciello's cuisine focuses on seasonal local ingredients. Irene Verbila from the LA Times wrote " Sunday nights at Farmshop are devoted to fried chicken… it's the best...but the bird I'm nominating as one of the 10 Best Meals is Cerciello's organic roasted chicken...golden and crisp, the flesh dense yet moist, each bite was better than the last."<br /><br />In addition to highlighting fresh local produce, Farmshop offers a 300 choice California-centric wine list, a market with curated cheeses, charcuterie, artisanal foods and housewares, all an homage to the many California based farmers, producers and purveyors we are proud to showcase.

"The open air feeling really sets Farmshop apart. They really nail that rustic farm feel but in a very upscale way. Food here is always delicious and perfectly made, even when doing delicate techniques. They use only the freshest organic ingredients and those shine through in a big way.
I come here for brunch a lot. Not a big fan of the best-seller brioche french toast for my own tastes, but I love all their egg dishes, in particular the coddled eggs with mushrooms. The service is very nurturing and the coffee is wonderful. It's always fun to stroll the FS market after you eat, too, as well as enjoy the rest of the Brentwood country mart."

"We had a large group, so we decided to make a reservation for the T&R Supper with goat, which you have to do at least a week in advance. We were in for such a treat! The service was amazing and the dinner even better. It started with a delicious charred lettuce salad and continued into the main course - a wonderful goat hand-picked just for us and lovingly slow cooked for over 24 hours, along with amazing roasted carrots and cous cous sides. The sauces that came with it were also divine. The wine kept flowing and the service was impeccable - we all had an amazing time and can't wait to go back!"
