La1960's Reviews

Edendale is open 7 nights a week for dinner, wine and cocktails. We also serve Sunday Brunch from 11am until 3pm. We feature an exciting cuisine called "Comfort fusion", which is a blend of comfort foods from around the world (especially western Europe, eastern Asia and the southern part of North America). It's the best feel-good foods that people everywhere love.

The restaurant is located within a restored firehouse that was originally built in 1924. We have a separate full bar and large outdoor patios for drinks or dining. We specialize in excellent service and quality food.

No animals are permitted, except certified service animals (seeing eye, etc, NOT therapy animals) with ID and appropriate vest.

Edendale is located in Silver Lake, close to Hollywood, Glendale, Downtown, Pasadena, Los Feliz, Eagle Rock and Echo Park. We look forward to serving you!

"Turning a former firehouse into a beautiful restaurant is an excellent example of adaptive reuse. A very "green" concept. The food was great. I recommend the stonefruit and serrano ham salad. Our server, Jaqueline really made our experience wonderful. She was funny and entertaining and kept a smile on our faces. She was also efficient and did her job well."

"This is a neighborhood place close enough to walk to the theater, which is what we did. The mushroom risotto was outstanding as was the beet salad. Excellent service as well."

The restaurant offers authentic Mexican food—handmade tortillas, fresh guacamole, slow-cooked carnitas, enchiladas de mole, as well as delicious updates to the classics—tostadas with sashimi-grade tuna, sweet shrimp taquitos, and salmon a la parilla.
"This is not your average Mexican restaurant. The food is expertly prepared and delicious!! The interior with it's exposed brick curved walls, and modern lighting is beautiful. A little bit noisy, but not as bad as some places."

Conveniently located in Old Pasadena's stylish One Colorado Plaza, a/k/a is the latest concept by renowned restaurateurs Deborah and Robert Simon, who have also operated Bistro 45 for the last 20 + years in Pasadena, and previously launched the a/k/a concept in St. Helena two and a half years ago to critical acclaim. Drawing flavors and menu focus from California wine country sensibility and from specific, sustainable, and, where ever possible, organic sources is what a/k/a is all about. a/k/a's sophisticated yet comfortable ambiance is highlighted by gracious and abundant hospitality, and a diverse menu featuring choices for every taste. Chef Jonathan Wiener's vivid flavors pair naturally with an exceptional and well-priced wine selection and hand-crafted brews from California.

Mo-chica is a vibrant, urban restaurant serving Chef Ricardo Zarate’s modern interpretations on traditional Peruvian comfort food. Mo-chica was born in May 2012—a large, industrial-esque restaurant with vibrant-hued walls tagged with graffiti (thanks to local artist Kozem), whimsical touches; an urban-artsy space serving modern takes on traditional Peruvian comfort food.

"Excellent ceviche and everything else we got was just as good. Our waiter Jason was charming and professional. He brought out a little tray of 3 cookies with a candle on it since he knew we were celebrating my birthday. A very nice touch!! Will definitely go back."
