Adding a splash of Mediterranean color to California, Prego's ambiance blends the warmth and rustic charm of old-world Italy with the electricity and vibrancy of a cosmopolitan restaurant. Lively exhibition kitchens allow diners to view the artful chefs creating delicious dishes. Our restaurant seats up to 250 guests with al fresco. Prego features a full bar and offers banquet and catering services. The menu at Prego emphasizes regional Italian cuisine, featuring authentic pizza baked in a wood-fired oven, freshly made pastas, grilled fresh fish, spit-roasted meats and fowl, and an extensive list of wines from Italy and California that will please even the most discriminating wine connoisseur. Our homemade desserts and pastries make a perfect ending to an unforgettable dining experience. Prego has received fine-dining awards from the Restaurant Writers' Association and the Wine and Food Society of Southern California. It has been a culinary destination for over two decades.

"Service is just okay. We felt rushed from the minute we sat down. The meat lasagna is very good. No pepper or Parmesan was offered. Refills of iced tea and soda were few and far between. Prices are quite high for a typical work day lunch. Would go back for a special occasion lunch."

"First time dining here for a special occasion and we would definitely return. The service was top notch. The cocktails including the martinis were very good. The wine selection is excellent especially for by the glass. The fresh fish was halibut and cooked and prepared perfectly. I would recommend sharing the "small" side dishes for smaller parties of 2 or 4 as the portions are very substantial. The spinach was excellent. Save room for dessert. The buttenrcake was divine. Can't wait to return."

"The menu is varied with steaks and fish. Everything is a la carte. It is expensive. Service was only adequate. Never had water refilled. The server didn't seem to pay a lot of attention. Shrimp cocktail is very good. The wine and cocktail list is quite good. Great location when attending events at Angel stadium, The Grove, or The Honda Center."

"The restaurant is very lively, loud, and energetic. Food is tasty and the menu is varied with lots of interesting choices. Portions are very reasonable. Service was not good. A word to those wanting to dine and enjoy an appetizer with their drink. DO NOT ORDER you entrees when you order your appetizer. We waited over 40 minutes for our appetizer and once it was finally delivered, sadly our entrees came out within 5 minutes. We requested to speak with a manager who came right over. We explained our situation. This is NOT the first time we have dined at this restaurant and had this exact problem. (Waiting for an appetizer to then be presented with the entree very shortly after). The manager and server were apologetic. They offered to return our entrees and bring them later. However, we were concerned they would simply sit under a heat lamp (which is what we believed happened the last time we dined there). So, word of caution, order your drinks and appetizers and WAIT to order your entrees. You won't be disappointed with the food. We appreciated how the server and manager listened to our concerns and took immediate action. However, at a restaurant of this caliber and quality we expect service and food delivery to be more spot on."

"Loved the seasonal menu. Merriman's doesn't disappoint. From the handmade cocktail (the lillikoi margarita is fantastic) to the homemade wheat bread everything is flavorful and so tasty. The fish of the day was a very mild whitefish and would highly recommend it. The chocolate purse is for dessert is not to be missed. It is quite pricey and portions are smaller but worth it."

"Service was excellent. Wide variety of beers and mixed drinks. Food is fresh and didnt disappoint. Seafood risotto is a favorite with lots of fresh ingredients. We always make this a stop when we are on the Big Island."

"Signage at the restaurant is sparse so you need to keep your eyes peeled to find this place. Well worth it. Food is excellent. Some of the best queso fundido ever served with amazing homemade flour and corn tortillas. Margaritas are delicious especially the cucumber jalapeño. Would eat here again and again"

"Our server was very attentive and friendly. The pretzel appetizer is a must! The burgers were cooked as ordered and the Dr Pepper ribs covered in bacon were over the top. Would definitely return here for another meal! Oh and beer choices are extensive even for the craft beer lover."

"Pizzeria Mozza has some unique salads and pizzas as well as unbelievably good meat lasagna. The service is good. Parking is very difficult and valet is only option. It's expensive for parking in the OC. The chopped salad is one of the favorites of our group. Menu changes seasonally. Currently they have an amazing Meyer lemon pie for dessert that is really special."

"South Coast Kitchen is a small neighborhood gem that we love to bring friends to. The food is outstanding. The pretzel bites and steak tartare are big favorites among our guests. The food is fresh and high quality. The service is steady and paced just right. The smallness of the restaurant adds to its charm. Love the changing specials on the menu. The harvest salad is always a favorite as well."
