From the owners of Town Hall and Salt House comes Anchor & Hope Restaurant, an oyster bar and fish house located at 83 Minna Street. Housed in a renovated, 100 year old brick building, formerly the studio of sculptor Benny Bufano, Anchor & Hope offers the warmth of an Eastern Seaboard fish house with dishes such as warm sea urchin served in the shell, our lobster roll, and petrale sole…and yes, there are dishes for those who fear the sea.

"A small restaurant, tucked away in a downtown San Francisco side street, it is a great choice for lunch or dinner. The entire menu is a winner. This visit we ordered the Ceviche Campeche, Arugula Salad, Red-spotted Trout, and the Crispy Chicken Breast with Fava Bean Puree, all of which got thumbs up from those at our table. The raw bar was also good, albeit a bit pricey. It is certainly worth revisiting."

Plouf has terrace seating with heat lamps and a canopy. There are bistro style seating and an indoor fireplace. We have a 2-course Lunch Prix Fixe for $22 (Soup/Salad and Mussels) and a 3-course Dinner Prix Fixe $30 (Soup/Salad, Mussels and Dessert)

"A nice, unassuming little gem tucked away in an alley--as seems to be the case with so many of San Francisco's better culinary finds. Their Butter Fish and variety of mussels are two options well worth considering...often. We'll be back!"

Borobudur is an award winning Indonesian Restaurant. The television show “Check Please” regarded Borobudur as the Best Indonesian Restaurant in the Bay Area. The restaurant was founded by a husband and wife, Soe Bin Ang and Yunita Gouw. Having more than twenty years of experience as Chef of Indonesian cuisine, they have created contemporary authentic Indonesian foods. Through creativity, they transform traditional Indonesian spices to create Indonesian foods that are perfect for our modern taste bud, but still maintain the tradition. Up to this day, they continue to mix their own Indonesian spices to maintain quality and truly deliver an award winning Indonesian cuisine.

Please be advised that we DO NOT accept any vouchers or discount coupons.

"This unassuming restaurant on the corner of Post and Jones Streets, Borobodur is a great introduction to Indonesian cuisine. If you are unsure what to order, try their sampler; but fair warning--bring an appetite! Three of us took half of that meal home with us; and it was just as good the next for lunch. It is now on our list of restaurants to revisit whenever we are back in San Francisco--about four times each year."

Voted the best new restaurant in the country in 1996, Rose Pistola is a celebration of the bawdy, friendly but sophisticated side of San Francisco’s Italian district – North Beach. This stylish gathering place personifies the vibrancy of its namesake, a North Beach denizen who ran the most colorful bar and restaurant in the neighborhood. With its San Francisco-style dining counter, booths cozy dining room and lively bar, Rose Pistola invites everything from a leisurely glass of Chianti and a bowl of pasta, to a traditional, Italian-style feast of seasonal antipasti, whole roasted fish and rotisserie meats.

Close to Union Square and closer to Paris, Cafe Claude has remained an unpretentious neighborhood meeting place nestled amongst the urban skyscrapers. Cafe Claude is a classic Bistro featuring a zinc bar, Gallic waiters, and Paris cafe style food. Enjoy a lively atmosphere, weekend jazz, and a traditional Parisian cafe menu while seated in a cozy banquette or outdoors on charming Claude lane.

Signature menu items at Cafe Claude include, at lunch, Niçoise Salad, Steak Tartare, Coq au Vin, and Moelleux au Chocolate.

In the tradition of Italy's trattorias, the sight, sounds and aromas of authentic Italian cuisine are recreated fresh everyday at Il Fornaio. Literally "the baker" in Italian, Il Fornaio offers wood-fired rotisserie and grilled meats, poultry and game; housemade and imported pastas; pizzas from a wood burning oven; fresh salads and housemade soups; antipasti and a wide variety of desserts made daily from scratch. The first two weeks of each month a special menu from a different region of Italy is featured as part of Festa Regionale.

Trummer's on Main is where New York City meets Historical Charm. Owners Stefan and Victoria Trummer bring their extensive restaurant experience and passion to small town Clifton to offer a unique dining experience. Our chef, Austin Fausett, helms from The Inn at Little Washington and offers a variety of dining options including bar snacks and casual food in the bar, a la carte dining in the dining room or the Chef's Grand Tasting Menu.

Trummer’s On Main is engulfed in history that dates back to the 1800’s and brings an edge to the historical area. Each floor has something special to offer for the eyes as well as the palate.
