Brickyard Gastro Pub was designed in 2009 by owners Patrick Burke and Gavin Bradley. It has become the perfect place for a fantastic Happy Hour with daily cocktail and draft specials accompanied by a savory bar menu. The Craft Beer seeker will never be far from home with our extensive local, domestic and imported draft selections. But this is only half the story. Our “Gastro Pub” menu features local, organic and sustainable foods whenever possible and is paired off with some fabulous craft beers.
Sourcing locally is near and dear to our hearts. We source cheese as well as our grass fed all natural meats from NY State, organic produce from NJ, NY and PA and we follow Monterey Bay’s Seafood Watch Program only sourcing sustainable seafood. Our commitment to sourcing locally has even brought us to Amy’s Bread just a few blocks down.
Cheers & Bon appetite!

"We headed to this restaurant on our first night in NYC after a long day of travel and exploring. The fact they had a kids' menu was a big draw for us, as we had three very picky eaters with us, but also five adults in search of a good meal. The Brickyard Gastropub met both needs; the kids were happy with their selections and the food and drink available to the adults hit the spot. My only complaint was that a couple of the main dishes were overly salted; but it was fine overall. Service was good; no complaints!"

In the heart of New York's Theatre District, Sardi's has been the toast of Broadway since 1921. Featuring continental cuisine, we are open Tuesday through Sunday.

"We headed here before going to see a show; it was a hit with three small, very picky kids, as well as five adults. The service was excellent; prompt & personable."

A contemporary American restaurant set in D.C.'s 1st firehouse, Sixth Engine uses classic techniques to produce comfort foods with a touch of refinement while providing polished service in a comfortable setting.

"This was my first time at Sixth Engine; I went based on its proximity to the Verizon Center and the reviews I had seen for it online. The setting is great, with a beautiful, large patio and a super cute building inside. The service both at the bar (I arrived early) and at our table was personable and attentive; great recommendations on beer and the waitress was very patient working with my young nieces and nephew. The food itself was delicious; all six of us really enjoyed everything we tried. I will definitely be back!"

Jaleo brings alive the spirit and flavors of Spain with a menu reflecting the rich regional diversity of classical and contemporary Spanish cuisine, under the direction of renowned chef José Andrés. Jaleo offers an impressive assortment of tapas, the traditional small dishes of Spain, as well as savory paellas, superb sangrias and a fine selection of Spanish wines and Sherries in a festive, casual atmosphere.

"Jaleo Crystal City is an old faithful for me; the food and service are always good, as is the red sangria! Though the menu stays largely the same, they do seem to change the preparation and presentation on some dishes, which is sometimes a good thing and others time less so. But it's always good; I've never been disappointed by a meal here."

Located in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, between Old Town and Crystal City, the Evening Star Cafe is known for exceptional food, friendly but professional service and an inviting 'retro chic and funky' atmosphere. Both a classic neighborhood restaurant and a destination for diners throughout the Washington Metropolitan area, the Evening Star features sophisticated and eclectic American food, one of the region's most appealing and best-priced wine lists, and two separate lounges.

"Though I've heard about this place for many, many years, and live pretty nearby, this was the first time I've ever made it there. I now understand why it's such an Alexandria institution. The restaurant itself is quite cute inside; the service was friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonably attentive for this type of restaurant. The food was good, though not mind-blowing; it did seem as though it leaned a bit more towards heavier fare. Excellent wine options available and the waiter was helpful in picking something that paired with our menu choices. Dessert was delicious (talk about heavier fare... it was a deep-fried fluffer nutter a la mode!) and definitely worth the calorie splurge. Overall, I'd definitely consider going back."

"I've been to this restaurant several times; this visit was for the second seating on New Year's Eve, which took us through midnight. This was a prix fixe menu, which was fine with us, since we always do the tasting menu when we go here, anyway. The food didn't disappoint; all the dishes were solid, though the meat course was much larger than it needed to be as part of a 5 course menu (though I'm sure most others didn't complain). It was a bit disappointing to be seated in the back room, rather than the lovely glass enclosed main room we've eaten in every other time; but it was fine. The wine pairings were solid - all in all, a lovely dinner, as always."
