Le Canard Enchaine, located in beautiful, historic uptown Kingston, serves wonderful authentic French cuisine in a charming, friendly atmosphere. "Lift a fork and imagine you're in France," wrote the New York Times. Let Chef Jean-Jacques and his welcoming staff take you on a culinary journey! Specialties include garlic snails, duck confit, onion soup, voted best in the Hudson Valley, and so much more!

"A real TREASURE set in the gateway to the Hudson Valley, LE CANARD ENCHAINÉ satisfies your taste buds while you yearn for more. For many years it was known by a dedicated group of followers who would travel 30 to 45 minutes out of their way just to eat here. Now, through Open Table, it is accessible to the world. With the exception of Wednesday (when they are closed for lunch), every weekday presents a plat de jour of one of their famous dishes discounted to $15.95, a full-size portion of freshly prepared entrees. And do not forget about their home-made soups: chicken noodle, beef vegetable, carrot apple, and their award-winning French Onion in its own crock. Then follows their incredible desserts from their own French Kiss bakery."

"I never knew what French Onion Soup should taste like until I visited LE CANARD ENCHAINÉ and now I cannot have it anywhere else. The Master chef Jean-Jacques Carquillat created his dream bistro in the Hudson Valley where he discovered his wife Jennifer, and together they have developed a superb selection of traditional French cuisine, whether it be escargot or sweetbreads, calves liver with onions or roast duck with berry sauce, all is superb and unmatched. But then when you thought it was safe to order your various coffees, the waitress begins reciting the list of home-made desserts, from peach tart to upside down apple pie to pumpkin cheesecake and flour-less chocolate cake. No wonder his homemade soups and fresh desserts are popular."

"Excellent sushi, fantastic sashimi. We ordered the chef's selection of each, the $38 menu choice upgraded to $75 each to include a higher choice of premium selection, and it was more than enough to fulfill two adult appetites. Add to it a $65 bottle of cold saki and it was a fantastic meal. We could not be more delighted."

"As one always expects from visiting the PALM restaurants in many cities around the USA, here is no different in Las Vegas. The management is friendly, the staff sympathetic and the food delicious. Prices are about the same as one finds at other locations and the quality is well-maintained."

"Not to be confused (as we did) with Eli Zabar's E.A.T. on East 81st Street, this restaurant has its own charm and a delicious menu that was far better in reality than what we have come to expect locally. Although described correctly on the menu, the portions of food were hefty and freshly prepared at every stage. We began with glazed chicken livers and salad, then a sushi-grade BLT made with fresh Tuna beautifully seared along the edges, and an order of fried oysters. It was exactly what we wanted and served to perfection. Pure serendipity, as we went there thinking it was E.A.T. and we ended up being fully satisfied at a reasonable price level. Thank you for your excellent kitchen."

"The Lebanese Taverna in Bethesda was chosen for its close proximity to our conference and the desire for ethnic food. We did not expect the quality to be so exceptional that all of us look forward to returning at next opportunity (especially with most of us from the New York City area). It would be impossible to single out specific dishes because we selected various platters of appetizers and grilled octopus, and all were done superbly. Then came the main courses and they were likewise exceptional. What was also impressive was the knowledge of the young waiter who attended our table. He spoke of the food with firsthand knowledge very precisely and with such descriptions, we were all mesmerized. Excellent quality all around."

"A large menu with huge portions of food available in both half and full size quantities. Everything is tasty and served fresh to the table. Quite easy to over-order, but there's no problem in taking home what you cannot finish there. Sometimes it even tastes better the 2nd day!!!"

"Absolutely wonderful, from start to finish. We were in Syracuse for a professional business conference/symposium and wanted to steal away from the crowds so we discovered Lemon Grass - Syracuse on Open Table. The food was exceptional. Soft shell crabs, filet mignon chopped up in a green curry sauce, and two 1-1/2 lb lobsters. It felt completely decadent but totally delicious. I would come back to this restaurant the next time I am anywhere near the Syracuse area. Well worth traveling to."
