"The food was great...when it eventually came out. 45 minutes after ordering we flagged a random person (our server was nowhere to be found) and asked if our appetizers (salads) might make an appearance soon. Within minutes they came out and were delicious. I suspect that means they were sitting ready in the kitchen and no one bothered to check on them. When our entrees came out, we were given the wrong ones. Our server was nice but not especially apologetic and allowed us to believe this was our oversight. No one ever came by to refill our water. We again had to flag a random person to request more water and when he did come he refilled only one person's glass. when we asked if someone else could have some more water, he refilled a second person's glass but left the table with two of the four glasses empty and not because he had run out of water. It was really bizarre and we had a good laugh about it at the table. Overall this was a disappointing dining experience. The venue itself is lovely with a great view of the Falls. The service however was really lacking in many ways. We will not return. You're better off going to the Love Bites or Miss Lucy's cafe up the street."

Lafayette is an everyday French restaurant conducting the spirit of French dining anew in downtown Manhattan’s NoHo neighborhood. Open morning, noon and night, this grand café and bakery is dedicated to Chef Andrew Carmellini's market-driven bistro cooking in a timeless hallmark setting. Our light-flushed dining room features soaring arched windows overlooking the NoHo streetscapes and a lively rotisserie bar. Our corner boulangerie-patisserie is open all hours offering artisanal breads, croissants, Stumptown coffee drinks, a light breakfast or lunch and a host of confections. In warm weather months, our sidewalk cafe opens daily for open air lunch, brunch and dinner service.

Philippe puts his own spin on traditional Beijing-style cuisine with results that are modern, flavorful and theatrical. All specialty dishes are served family-style, giving all guests the opportunity to experience a taste in every dish ordered. Our philosophy focuses on bringing people together for an experience that they can share with one another – starting with our signature dishes.

"Been to this restaurant location many times before and the service has always been good. This last visit however was a different story. We never got silverware (had to grab it off of a nearby table) and our food came out at vastly different times. Our server was very nice and apologized and said they were under staffed that day."
