"Fish selection is limited to what the restaurant bought that day, but that's the tradeoff for freshness. Very good fish, well-prepared in selection of four ways: Thai, blackened, Fulford (egg-washed and lightly battered), and with a lemon/wine sauce. It would be good if plain broiled also was offered (though I didn't ask). Fish is accompanied by rice and "peas" (beans), also good. Would have liked a veg as part of the entrée rather than having to order as a side.
There are non-fish entrees available but I didn't try them.
The Guinness chocolate cake is terrific, individually made for each diner and served hot. Save room for it. The port is a good accompaniment."

"We had an early dinner, and it was easy to talk. As the restaurant, and bar especially, filled up, the noise level got higher; still possible to have a conversation, but I ease of conversation depends very much on how many people are there.
Very good grilled grapefruit salad. And attentive, personal service."

The Daily Grill is a throw back to the classic American grills of yesteryear. The Daily Grill features huge portions of classic American food at a great value. For larger groups, please call the restaurant for availability.

Located at One Bethesda Metro Center (on the 1st Floor) next to the Hyatt Regency Bethesda.
"We have eaten at Tavira many times, from 2 person quiet dinners to small groups to special occasion celebrations in a private room. Service has always been personable and prompt. The food is very good; one dining companion said his roasted cod was better than what he had had in Portugal."

Quote as “unpretentious but stylish”, Le Chat Noir, casual bistro-style with Parisian left-bank feel features classic, traditional French cuisine and a large selection of savory and sweet crepes. The Wine Lounge atop Le Chat Noir restaurant pays homage to vintage -- wine-making and a retrospect to Comics Black & White silent films. With an impressive wine list and a wide-range of cocktails for you to choose from, it is a place to share an intimate moment. Cozy home-like ambiance, we look forward to nourishing you and tantalizing your taste buds in our art nouveau inspired Restaurant and Lounge.

"We have been coming to Le Chat Noir for several years. The ambiance reminds us of a bistro in Paris, and the service is relaxed but attentive. The food is good and well-prepared, reliably traditional, not cutting edge nor adventurous. They pay attention to and accommodate dietary restrictions such a lactose intolerance, which is not the easiest thing to do in a French restaurant. We especially recommend the variety of both savory and sweet crepes.
This is a well-liked neighborhood restaurant. We have enjoyed each of our meals here and will return."
