Marin Restaurant & Bar is an inviting combination of Northern California and Minnesota influences. It’s a showcase for inventive, health-conscious cuisine with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients served in a beautiful and refined urban setting.

"Not sure why I had modest expectations. Perhaps because this restaurant is located in a hotel (Le Meridien). Sophisticated ambience, excellent service. Goose liver pate was great as was my 5 oz tenderloin. Inventive drinks, great desserts. We'll be back!"

Buca di Beppo serves authentic Italian cuisine in an eclectic, vintage setting. Our dishes are served family-style, meant to be shared by everyone at the table. Two sizes are available: BUCA SMALL feeds two or more and BUCA LARGE feeds four or more. At Buca, guests delight in our lively atmosphere, enjoy the classic tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and admire our decor, including family photos and candid shots of Italian-American icons, such as Sophia Loren and Joe DiMaggio. Our energetic atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staff make Buca di Beppo the perfect place for great Italian food and fun.

"We always enjoy this restaurant. Very accommodating to kids and groups. Food is generally tasty and filling. Veal Saltimbocca, one of our favorites, is generally quite good. On this occasion, a bit chewy and tasting over cooked."

Features an open kitchen & lively bar with specialty martinis. Located just minutes southwest of Minneapolis in Eden Prairie.

"according to Open Table we've dined here more than 20 times. For good reason! Food, ambience, and service are top notch. On this visit, my wife and our friends had the short ribs (best in the Twin Cities), London Broil, roasted chicken, and hangar steak. All excellent. Our request to be seated away from the kitchen and bar was honored. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Beautifully appointed restaurant."

Opened in 1999, Restaurant Alma is a casual fine dining restaurant, offering eclectic American cuisine and warm hospitality in a rustic historically preserved building. A high, open beam ceiling, exposed brick columns and concrete floors display the original space, while an open kitchen, banquette seating and gentle lighting contribute to an intimate and contemporary feel.

Alma is best known for sourcing the best quality seasonal ingredients available and features a high percentage of local and organic products. Our menu changes every six to eight weeks, offering both new and signature dishes. We feature both a three course tasting menu format, allowing the customer to select any three dishes from the menu for $50 and a la carte options.

Alma has been awarded 4 stars by the StarTribune and shares the #1 food ranking in ZAGAT for Minneapolis/St. Paul

"If you are a foodie, this is the place. Extraordinary preparations, great service, classy but not pretentious. I had the lemon shrimp as a first course, we both had a lamb and garlic nan for the second course. Unique and delectable. We also had the same third course, halibut in papillote, one of the best halibut preparations I've ever had. You can tell the food is prepared with the utmost of care. It was fun to watch the activity in the open kitchen. The chef thanked us on the way out. Expensive: about $112/person including tip which puts it in the La Belle Vie category. It deserves to be in the same company."

"All the other reviews are right: the walleye is perfection. Cocktails well made. Extraordinary mud pie. Preparations are not fussy but they are perfectly prepared. We ate in the quieter more formal dining room overlooking the lake. Classy, quiet. This place offers numerous kinds of places to eat, all kinds of private dining rooms, different kinds of bars. Dining on the deck is much more casual (burgers, etc) but raucous and fun."

Salut Bar Américain is the brasserie down the block. Warm and welcoming, with an urbane wit and urban sensibility, it’s an afternoon hangout and an evening refuge. It’s your neighbor with a French accent. The setting evokes a classic Parisian bistro/restaurant. The service is spirited, confident and capably executed. And the cooking captures the freshness and hearty flavor of French cuisine. It’s the vibe inside that sets Salut apart from bowing maitre ‘d’s and sniffing sommeliers. From the welcoming wine list, to the playful décor, to the genial buzz in the dining room, Salut celebrates the French restaurant’s essential qualities while dispensing with the exclusionary ones. It demystifies French food by making it accessible and rewarding while poking fun at the stereotypes that surround it. Salut gives French dining a shot in the arm – while giving the French a gentle kick in the derriere. In this sense, Salut is a dual citizen: Authentically French – but proudly American.

"My wife had the duck; I had the the Lobster/Shrimp/Crayfish special. Both were excellent although I had a bit of a time maneuvering the crayfish. Drinks well prepared...one of the best bars in town for a quality and generous pour. The restaurant can be noisy but on this occasion with an early reservation and many people eating outside, it was just fine. Service was spotless. One of our top ten in the Cities."

"I always enjoy this restaurant although my wife thinks it is a bit noisy. Elegant, all white interior. Expansive view overlooking Loring Park. Food is beautifully prepared and perfectly presented. Halibut was extraordinary. Service is perfect. Everyone is served simultaneously. They don't bother you with unnecessary questions like, "How were the first few bites?" Or, my favorite, when looking at an empty plate: "Are you finished?" My Opentable request to seat us by the windows was honored."

Every day we strive to bring the freshest most thoughtfully grown ingredients to the plate. We demonstrate our respect for nature and those who passionately tend to it through well crafted food that is presented simply. Our menu is written daily and is derived from a wide variety of products that are brought to our door by dozens of small growers. This menu concept allows us to purchase in small quantities, reducing waste and ensuring freshness. Cutting in house gives us the opportunity to use every part of the ethically and sustainably grown animals we choose. We do our best to approach each day and every ingredient with curiosity and wonder rather than expectation. Our skilled and knowledgeable staff will guide you through our ever changing menu as well as offer insight into what we are most proud of today. Let the unknown excite you!

"This restaurant specializes in locally sourced food, even growing their own. They also sponsor a farmer's market featuring many of the vendors they use for their menu items. Ambience is wonderful, quiet, and relaxed. Normally, the food is top quality. In this instance, we were a bit disappointed. With their limited menu, they were out of several items, which made choosing a bit tricky. My partner's pork chop was almost inedible according to her (tough). My bison steak was perhaps the best I've ever had. Wines by the glass were only fair. We'll be back, but we've had much better experiences here."
