Immerse yourself in the most delectable dining experience Tampa Bay has to offer at The Maritana Grille. At this signature restaurant of the beautiful Don CeSar resort, you’re surrounded by 1,500 gallons of salt water aquariums filled with colorful, native Florida fish. You’ll dine on the freshest local seafood prepared with pure, organic ingredients in a New American style. With an extensive wine list and world-class service, it’s no wonder The Maritana Grille was voted one of the Top 10 seafood restaurants in the United States by the Gayot Guide, and has received AAA’s 4-Diamond Rating for the past 15 years. The vibe is casual-chic, no jackets required. The atmosphere is festive yet intimate and the food is incomparably delicious. The Maritana Grille turns every meal into a magical dining experience.

"Easily one of the best restaurants in Tampa-St. Pete. Truly elegant, understated surroundings. Service top notch, even providing women wearing dark slacks or skirts with dark napkins to avoid lint. According to one of our diners, the best martini he's ever had. Scallops were huge and wonderful. Salmon beautifully prepared. The peanut butter dessert concoction served within a chocolate ostrich egg like shell...one of the most unique desserts I've ever had. Expensive and worthwhile...about $90/person with one drink and tip."

"Our second visit. Our party of 11 was well cared for and efficiently served in one of their private dining rooms. As before, food was excellent although the Striped Bass special was given only a fair rating by one of our party. Walleye preparation is phenomenal as is the chocolate cake for dessert. We had a visit by Suzanne the Magician who is absolutely fantastic. She does table magic and is one of the top slight of hand magicians in the USA having been voted Magician of the Year at the Magic Castle in LA."

Sanctuary, with its chandeliers and vaguely gothic ambiance - protected by gargoyles like the sanctuaries of Europe - is elegant, yet comfortable. It is meant to be a haven where food, service and ambiance please the senses. A fireplace warms cold nights - a patio with flowers and herbs celebrates summer. With thick limestone, rough timbers and ceiling beams dating back to the 1860's, it reminds you of that small romantic place you'd love to visit again.

Sanctuary serves New American Cuisine, deftly combining immigrant influences from the Mediterranean to Japan into dishes that are delicious, amazing and satisfying. The menu stays enticing with weekday Tasting Menus, special creations Fri./Sat. and menu changes every other month. The StarTribune said, “[I] loved the well-paired wines, the genial service, the cozy surroundings and the kitchen's finesse."

Located one block from the Guthrie, it is the perfect place for dinner before or after a show.

"Always a great meal here. The artichoke tartlets are a must have. My wife had the duck and I ordered the steak. I was served the Mahi by mistake. While they were quickly preparing the steak, mother let me sample the Mahi. All were excellent. Without asking, they comped us for dessert for the entree mistake."

"This sister restaurant to Mill Valley Kitchen, located in Le Meridien Hotel, is smart looking with very good food to match. Overlooked, for some reason, but busy enough with lots of good food and very good attention. 5 oz steak was delicious and accompienments excellent."

Coalition Restaurant combines an inspired menu with a casually sophisticated setting in a historic downtown Excelsior main street building. The menu takes its inspiration from classic American dishes like beef, lamb, pork and walleye, creatively prepared, vibrantly presented, and influenced by cuisines around the world reflecting the global, sophisticated, expanded palates of today.

"New restaurant in Excelsior. Excellent food, great ambience. Borderline too loud. Bruschetta with Edamame as an appetizer was a winner as was the Cheese Curds and Broccoli. I had Roast Pork and my wife had the Walleye with Maple Fried Rice, both top rated. This place will shortly be a tough reservation to get. Service a tad slow but our server kept us informed of the progress of our dinner."

"The Lamb Chop special on their seasonal menu is hands down the best lamb dish I have ever had...and I love lamb. So tender they don't even give you a steak knife...easily cut with a butter knife! Fantastic Martina's, classy service, rich atmosphere especially at Christmas. Our most visited restaurant."

"Not over the top great like some other reviews have claimed. Pretty restaurant, nicely appointed. Menu was very interesting. Pork chop was excellent. Osso Buco was good but not exceptional. Award winning Cioppini not award winning. Old Log Old Fashioned was excellent."

Salut Bar Américain is the brasserie down the block. Warm and welcoming, with an urbane wit and urban sensibility, it’s an afternoon hangout and an evening refuge. It’s your neighbor with a French accent. The setting evokes a classic Parisian bistro/restaurant. The service is spirited, confident and capably executed. And the cooking captures the freshness and hearty flavor of French cuisine. It’s the vibe inside that sets Salut apart from bowing maitre ‘d’s and sniffing sommeliers. From the welcoming wine list, to the playful décor, to the genial buzz in the dining room, Salut celebrates the French restaurant’s essential qualities while dispensing with the exclusionary ones. It demystifies French food by making it accessible and rewarding while poking fun at the stereotypes that surround it. Salut gives French dining a shot in the arm – while giving the French a gentle kick in the derriere. In this sense, Salut is a dual citizen: Authentically French – but proudly American.
