The Dining Room is located in the old parlour and still features its original crystal chandeliers. The room is now painted a warm persimmon colour and offers comfortable upholstered banquettes and wing back chairs along with the more traditional dining chair. Whether taking afternoon tea and scones or savouring a multi-course meal prepared by Chef de Cuisine Steve Sperling, dining at the Charles Inn Restaurant is always special. Our wine list features the best that Niagara has to offer including a wonderful selection of ice wines to accompany that special dessert. During the warmer months, a candle lit dinner can be enjoyed on the side verandah which overlooks the gardens as well as North America's oldest golf course. After dinner, guests are welcome to enjoy a glass of port or ice wine or perhaps a specialty coffee in the adjoining lounge or sit on the verandah to enjoy the evening sky. The dining room is open seven days a week.

"Wine service was deplorable. So was Mark's attitude. Warm wine put into a 1 inch water bath? We added our ice water to cool off the wine and poured ourselves. Horrible service dominated the evening detracting from decent food. It was quiet because the place is a poor choice!"

Tony Foreman & Cindy Wolf's Charleston is located on the waterfront in the burgeoning Harbor East neighborhood. Chef Cindy Wolf is a three-time finalist for Best-Chef, Mid-Atlantic by The James Beard Foundation. Her award-winning, contemporary cuisine is rooted in the regional cuisine of France and traditions of the "Low Country" area of South Carolina. Chef Wolf's commitment to fresh, local, seasonal products is reflected in the prix fixe tasting menu, which changes daily. The menu is complemented by an award winning wine list of more than 700 fine wines, which are displayed in the wine library and are chosen by co-owner and wine director, Tony Foreman. An elegant yet comfortable ambiance & luxurious service complete the extraordinary dining experience. <br />

"This is a celebratory, top of the line restaurant. You cannot beat the quality of the food, the service or the ambience ANYWHERE in the mid-Atlantic. This is my go-to restaurant for special occasions and I'm NEVER disappointed."

"The folks at the bar serve great drinks at speed for an amazingly low price. The 4th of July dinner was a BUFFET with NO notice on the website. NOT what we expected and the servers were indifferent to the inconvenience. We walked out and went across the street to McGregors."

VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. “The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques.” said Voltaggio. VOLT’s relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color pallet that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Private dining can be hosted in the conservatory offering views of the expansive courtyard. The 700 square foot kitchen afforded space to include up to 20 guests.

"Service is excellent and so is the food if you like a tapas bar. Food gets a fair because they are charging full price for bite size portions. There is no value for money at Volt. Wine by the glass is ridiculously overpriced and it's a short list. Choose another choice."

"We dined here last October. This time we brought the spouses and had a great table by the window. Veal scalloppine and filets were excellent as were the oysters. Keenan Cab '09 rounded out the evening. Will be back whenever we are in Roanoke."

This summer, The Regency Room is rich with bountiful colors and fresh ingredients as Executive Chef Stephen DeMarco introduces his new summer dinner menu. Make a statement in The Regency Room each and every time you dine! "The menu features indulgent items that showcase summer's flavors," said Executive Chef DeMarco. "From Lobster Bienville and Heirloom Tomato and Crab Tower to fresh-new drinks, the new menu offers our classics while also highlighting small and large plate offerings in The Regency Room."<br /><br />Opening in 1938, The Regency Room has remained at the heart of the Roanoke social and cultural experience. The restaurant, under the direction of Executive Chef DeMarco, features French-inspired Southern cuisine and is open year-round, including holidays. The Regency Room is extensively involved in a shop local, buy local mentality.<br /><br />

"Outstanding food. Attentive service. Fantastic live music. The filets were great as were the Caesar salads. Don't tell your male guests to wear a tie though. NO ONE DOES...and if you do, you're aggravated they don't enforce the rule!"

"Get there before noon and the mimosa or bloody mary is complementary! Not so simple house salad and French dip were the winners today. Their multi-server approach really helps... wonderful day to walk to Copper Canyon!"

"Once the server got our pace figured out, and we got the right cheese, all was well. Calamari is amazing as is the cheese plate to start with your sipping wine. The beet salad and Caesar salad got rave reviews . The duck and short ribs were excellent as well. Along with a Heitz 2009 Cab. A lovely 3.5 hour event."

"I've been dining here since they opened and have a regular notation of my table number preference. The hostess made me wait almost 5 minutes before she looked up and acknowledged me, took me to the bar instead of the dining room and then tried to seat me at another table after I pointed out the empty table that I usually have. By the time everything got sorted out, it was 20 minutes later and then it took another 10 minutes for anyone to come and offer me a glass of water. Fortunately my guest was late so I didn't deal with this embarrassment as it was my guest's first visit. Finally, things moved in the right direction after a horrible start indicated by the poor service rating."
