This winter, The Regency Room is rich with bountiful colors and fresh ingredients as Executive Chef Stephen DeMarco introduces his new winter dinner menu. Make a statement in The Regency Room each and every time you dine! "The menu features indulgent items that showcase summer's flavors," said Executive Chef DeMarco. "From Lobster Bienville and Heirloom Tomato and Crab Tower to fresh-new drinks, the new menu offers our classics while also highlighting small and large plate offerings in The Regency Room."<br /><br />Opening in 1938, The Regency Room has remained at the heart of the Roanoke social and cultural experience. The restaurant, under the direction of Executive Chef DeMarco, features French-inspired Southern cuisine and is open year-round, including holidays. The Regency Room is extensively involved in a shop local, buy local mentality.<br /><br />

"The mood of the room, the live music and outstanding service only add icing to the cake of incredible flavors from prime rib, filet, and salmon entrees as well as the Caesar salad appetizer and chocolate ganache dessert. Delightful cocktails and Ken Wright Pinot Noir as well. We'll be back next spring when we come to town."

Located in Roanoke's Historic Grandin District, Local Roots Restaurant celebrates the absolute best of the region, from locally-farmed vegetables and meat to the handcrafted dining room tables produced by area artisans. <br><br>Our roots are deeply embedded in the lush farmlands of Southwest Virginia. They are nourished by modern-day farmers who employ age-old techniques, hard-working heroes who nurture not only the people, but the land as well. We've gotten to know these local farmers and are better for it. They help us keep time with the rhythms of the seasons. Sun-ripened tomatoes in the summer, hearty root vegetables in the winter - we serve what is fresh and natural at the peak of its flavor. <br><br>Our roots are fed by a philosophy we call S.O.L.E.: Sustainable, Organic, Local, Ethical. It's a principle that guides us as we decide from whom to source our meats and vegetables. It also informs our beverage program.

"Server was poorly trained; didn't know what a wine decanter was and had no clue about vintages. He didn't give us the same rundown on the food choices as we heard other servers offer to their tables either. Wine list was definitely scaled back from our 2012 visit. We won't be coming back when we come to town next year."

"Don't offer chips with the appetizer and then charge us $2 for them...and defend it when we call it to your attention. Server couldn't get his timing right and didn't listen when we said that we would let him know when we were ready for our next beverage...to order, etc. Brought the check before we were finished; totally felt rushed out. STOP it."

"The hostess stand always takes forever to figure things out at this Seasons 52. Then they take us to a table when my open table profile says we prefer booths - and they had plenty of them. We sat from 4:48 - 5:06 without getting our drink order filled. Four different servers overall. FOREVER to get our flatbreads later on as well. Pork tenderloin, two good pieces, one like shoeleather. We are Seasons 52 people who brought new guests that night...they won't be coming back."

<b> Looking for a reservation? Call us at (301) 990-1926 and we will do our best to accommodate you. </b><br /><br />Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana by Ruth Fertel, a single mother of two who wanted a better life for herself and her two sons. She purchased "Chris" steakhouse in New Orleans which had been operated for the 38 years prior. She changed the name to Ruth's Chris when a fire forced her to move from the original location. Today, there are 142 Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants across the globe. We look forward to our opening in Gaithersburg, MD.

"Jennifer was totally untrained in wine service. She took glasses from the table without asking. She opened a $140 bottle of wine at the table, without bringing a decanter, and then left to get one WITH the botlte of wine in her hand. This was after she brought my cocktail and forgot my husband's twice. Fortunately she ceded service to Henry who knew what he was doing. Jennifer needs training or another job."

"We went to CG before theatre and the restaurant accommodated us early while we waited for our party. Drinks, appetizers and entrees delivered seamlessly...and deliciously. Crab cake, pasta, salmon salad...all were well prepared and tasty. We need to remember this place, especially since they now have a Rockville location!"
