Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana by Ruth Fertel, a single mother of two who wanted a better life for herself and her two sons. She purchased "Chris" steakhouse in New Orleans which had been operated for the 38 years prior. She changed the name to Ruth's Chris when a fire forced her to move from the original location. Today, there are 135 Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants across the globe. We look forward to our opening in Gaithersburg, MD.

"Outstanding. Just outstanding. This was my second visit in the week and I'd pre-ordered the wine, asked for a certain table and server. Everyone remembered and the evening was executed to perfection. Splitting the 11 oz filet between two women was a great choice. The mushrooms and steakhouse salad were terrific... The pacing and attentiveness were perfect. This is my new favorite place..and I am a tough customer to please! :-)"

"Since this restaurant opened in early August 2014, I've visited three times. The host/hostess desk is consistently unprepared and fails to handle guests properly. When we finally got to our table, things improved. Flatbreads were excellent as always, as was the lamb and filet. Quail left a lot to be desired. Server was outstanding and on her game."

"Used to be a fan. Now - New owners. Inexperienced server who overcharged by $30 for lunch for three. Prices were high to begin with. $19 for a small caesar salad and three shrimp? C'mon! Spinach and arugula with salmon served in a deep soup bowl? $14 for a flat chocolate cookie with cream on top for dessert? When we were the last one of three tables in the whole place to leave, they started blasting music. Chef? Manager? came out and said he looked at our bill and agreed we were overcharged so he brought out a new bill...after the transaction had been run through already. Server was totally not trained. Sad to remove this from my favorites list, but I will never go back."

"This is an incredible restaurant. Amazing wine list. The best martinis EVER. A six page list of martinis, really? Service was outstanding. Others' feedback about sharing sides was right on point. But PLEASE offer filets at a 6 oz and 8 oz portion. 10 oz filet for $42 is a bit much. Otherwise, A+"

"Waiter of ten years was somewhat rude but his pace was great! Maybe ge didn't like working on his anniversary or the fact that the restaurant was closing? Caesar salad and crab soup were excellent as was the veal and lobster. Too bad there are only a few weeks left. A good 14 year run under this ownership."

A most charming dining spot, the Old Angler's Inn has been immortalized in countless Washington D.C. novels as a romantic winter getaway, sitting before the fireplace and perusing the menu. It is equally glorious in the summer when the main action moves to the incomparable terrace.

"Sometimes the service at Old Anglers is "spotty". This time, it was outstanding and consistently so all evening. I took my future daughter in law to dinner and it was her first time at Old Anglers and she fell in love with the place. A late September evening for dinner outside, heat lamps making it wonderful to enjoy outdoor dining. Foie Gras and Caesar salad starts were excellent. My scallops and her meatballs were delicious and we shared a crème brulee for dessert. Wines by the glass were more than passable. Because they carded my 25 year old FDiL, which was a bit embarrassing, they brought two tawny ports to the table with our desserts on the house. It was "sweet" to do so and a perfect sweet end to finish our evening. Nice job!"

"Black's is an interesting place. For lunch, you can usually count on "pretty good" experiences. The weather was great so we ate outside and as long as you don't mind bus traffic, it's nice. The salads are always exceptional at Black's and both of us had different options with different proteins. Service started out with 5 stars and drifted down to 2 stars because we couldn't get our server's attention for over 10 minutes to get our check. Black's is also outstanding for happy hour; however, I've had unsatisfactory experiences at dinner. They are celebrating their 15 year anniversary right now, so go for happy hour or lunch!"
