Goodfood123's Reviews

Under the direction of renowned chef José Andrés, Zaytinya offers an innovative mezze menu inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisines served up in a sleek and modern setting. Shared small plates, creative cocktails and unique Mediterranean wines make this spot one of DC’s top dining destinations.

"We had a wonderful meal and ordered so many things -- we thought it might be too much but we ate every bite. From the various spreads to the amazing cauliflower and the outstanding okra to the fabulous kabobs, we loved it all. No room for desserts, even though they sounded great. Go with a crowd and order a lot of different things so you can get to sample all the tastes."

"We had a big crowd and the food was uniformly very good. The service was a little slow but it was a busy Sunday morning so it was clear why. Still, we enjoyed it immensely and they were incredibly nice about everything. We would definitely go back."

Pescara invites those with an appetite for fresh, forward food to share small plates, savor fine wine and enjoy selections from sea and land. Located in the newly renovated DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Rochester, it"s the perfect place to gather for business lunches, pre-theater appetizers or romantic dinners.

"We had an excellent lunch, with great meals off their $10 lunch menu. Just perfect size and price. Everything was delicious -- crab cake and lobster bisque, walleye sandwich, ceasar salad with chicken. Great appetizers too -- hummos is excellent. We enjoyed it all!"

Mon Ami Gabi is a classic French bistro and steakhouse. The traditional menu features classics such as the warm Onion Soup Au Gratin, Frisée & Bacon Salad with a soft-poached egg and croutons, Roast Chicken grand-mère style with mushrooms, bacon and pearl onions, as well as the trademark Steak Frites. At lunch, we offer lighter fare including crepes, quiches and seasonal salads. Come in Saturday and Sunday for our weekend brunch, featuring a Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary Bar!
To complement the cuisine, an extensive selection of over 80 boutique French wine varietals are served by the glass or bottle from our signature rolling wine cart.
Please Note: Reservations are taken for indoor seating only. Outdoor seating is available on first-come, first-serve bases.

"Always dependable, the food was excellent and service just attentive enough. We had shrimp that were delicious, and the trout which is always fabulous. Our go-to place."

Situated in the heart of the upscale Chevy Chase shopping district, the decor of this two-level restaurant celebrates the golden age of travel with steamships, planes, and the famed Orient Express rail line. Chef Derrick Jackson uses flavorful, fresh ingredients to prepare American-style cuisine in the Travel Rooms on the main level, or in the casual atmosphere of the downstairs Race Bar and Dining Room. Bar on main level, and a new outside bar and dining area.

"Everything was fine, as it usually is at Clydes, though the server must have been fairly new. He took a long time to get our salads, and didn't seem to know a lot about the menu, but the food was fine. But why does a slice of pie cost $8.50?"
