Oyamel Cocina Mexicana combines Mexico’s rich regional culinary traditions with modern urban fare. Guests experience an array of antijitos—traditional Mexican snack or small plates—along with authentic tacos, ceviches and an impressive selection of cocktails and tequilas. This is like no Mexican food you have ever experienced. Under the direction of renowned chef José Andrés, Head Chef Colin King takes traditional ingredients and techniques and elevates them to deliver dishes and drinks with exceptional creativity and refinement.

"The food at Oyamel is always outstanding. I had their chicken soup, which is a meal in itself, while my guest had three different and all excellent tacos. We started with guacamole and finished with home-made ice cream (including the caramel!), and it was all delicious. It's also a beautiful and different place to sit and enjoy the surroundings."

LON’s at the Hermosa is an authentic Arizona hacienda surrounded by spectacular scenery. Its elegant dining room melds homemade adobe and rustic ironwork with flattering lighting and carefully set tables. Enjoy award-winning Artful American Cuisine on the spacious patio, or by one of the fireplaces throughout the lounge and dining areas, adorned with art pieces by Lon Megargee. The menus at LON’s offer a memorable culinary experience, which captures spirit, creativity and warmth using bold flavors and compelling combinations that reflect a contemporary take on the multitude of foods originating in the Western Hemisphere. Our chef and master gardener grow a wide selection of organic herbs, heirloom vegetables and fruit on the grounds. Harvested at the peak of their flavor and combined with other locally grown produce, the ingredients are incorporated into brilliantly creative dishes.

"We loved Sorrento -- it was a comfortable, delicious meal. We were there early on New Year's Eve, and the service was excellent, the food very good and the atmosphere comfortable and easy. It was just right, as it always is."

Our mission is to bring you a seasonal menu, rooted in American tradition that showcases the Mid-Atlantic's ingredients. Our produce is organic or sustainable whenever possible; our meats are naturally-raised; our seafood wild or sustainable. We support local artisanal cheese makers, growers, ranchers, fisherman, and encourage you to do the same by buying local at our farmer's market or grocery.

"I had not been to Redwood for lunch before but they have a very nice menu with lots of choices. We enjoyed it because the food was good, the place is very pretty to sit in and it was quiet enough to talk."

Under the direction of renowned chef José Andrés, Zaytinya offers an innovative mezze menu inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisines served up in a sleek and modern setting. Shared small plates, creative cocktails and unique Mediterranean wines make this spot one of DC’s top dining destinations.

"We always love Zaytinya and this time was no exception. The food was amazing -- try the cauliflower!!!!, the kabob platter, the kibbeh -- the service excellent and the ambiance fun and lively. We had a great time and will return often."

Stephen Starr brings his signature brand of hospitality and design to the nation’s capital with the opening of Le Diplomate, located at 14th & Q. Serving lunch, brunch and dinner, the stylish 260 seat restaurant transports diners to the beloved cafés of Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. The extensive menu features a variety of classic dishes including Onion Soup Gratinee, Steak Frites, and Poulet Roti as well as contemporary bistro fare, with dishes such as Shaved Veal Tongue with Mache and Bavette de Boeuf à l’Echalote. A thoughtfully curated wine list and cocktail program perfectly complements the cuisine and creates an environment suitable for romantic dinners or lively group gatherings. In warmer weather, enjoy dining "en plein air" in the stunning outdoor café where you can take in the bustling energy of DC while sipping on the perfect kir royale.

"The food was good -- nothing special but fine. The service was terrible. The waiter literally looked down his nose at us. When my friend asked the difference between two wines, he said "they are made from different grapes." He was a snob -- not sure why he didn't like us. We ordered a lot of food drink and appetizers. Whatever, it was not worth the wait and the noise to have to put up being treated badly. Alas. Le Diplomat is not diplomatic at all."
