La Palapa combines authentic Mexican home cooking with a festive bar and a warm and friendly atmosphere which makes for the perfect place to dine or celebrate any occasion! We specialize in "Mexico City style" tacos and quesadillas and regional home cooking. Our menu includes such dishes as Tacos al Pastor, Mole Negro Oaxaqueno, Salsa Pibil and many other specialties from different regions of Mexico. Our Margaritas are all made with fresh juices and are delicious, especially when you add house made hibiscus aqua fresca and a chile-piquin salted rim! We have many flavors from the traditional fresh lime to mango, blood-orange, ginger, tamarind, wild blueberry and more! Refreshing Mexican beer cocktails, such as the Michelada and the Chelada are even given special attention at La Palapa. We also have an extensive tequila selection, cocktail and beer menu. La Palapa is available for catering on or off premise. We specialize in creating menus for private parties and events.

"Meal here was most enjoyable. The mains were all well prepared. Mole sauces were excellent. Fish tacos also well prepared. The house guacamole was unremarkable and for the price should have been prepared tableside. It tasted like a premade guac that was doctored up a little bit. Nopale salad was OK - would have benefitted from more nopales. Overall food here was very well prepared and tasty and the atmosphere is very pleasant"

Old World New Orleans brasseries that offers warmth, comfort, great food and good cheer. This John Besh restaurant combines the best of French, German and Creole Cuisines. Lüke offers an extensive French, German, and Belgian beer selection, including two exclusive house brews [custom-made in Louisiana]. The cuisine is unaffectedly Old World, using slow and traditional cooking techniques. The wine list will feature reds and whites from the Loire, Alsace, and Savoie regions, as well as Badischerwiens of Germany. Located in the heart of the Central Business District, Lüke will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

"We enjoyed our meal here. The appetizers were much better than the entrees. One of the entrees, the local fish prepared almondine, was totally unremarkable. We actually had to ask for some sort of sauce to liven it up. We had four different appetizers, all of which were excellent. The desserts were also fabulous"

"we arrived early - there was no one else here and we were a little suspicious. However we had an excellent meal with very attentive service. By the time we left it was beginning to fill up. Recommended"

A project forged of the passion of a group of partners working and living in the East Village, Boulton & Watt is based on the notion of providing great food and great drink in a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from the industrial revolution – of which Matthew Boulton & James Watt were pivotal figures with their perfection of the steam engine, which in turn catapulted two continents into a new era. Our location on the corner of Houston & Avenue A melds raw, industrial accents with warm wood and tall windows; creating an intimate yet open atmosphere fitting for all seasons and all clientele. The kitchen serves a full menu; our revised take on classic American and English comfort food late into the night. We love this neighbourhood, and we wanted to create a bar we were proud of. We hope you enjoy sharing in our passion.

"interestingly decorated restaurant, well prepared meals for brunch with fairly priced bloody mary's and mimosas. space has nothing to absorb noise, so the interior is very loud and it can be difficult to have a conversation with the person next to you, impossible with the far end of the table. Menu is interesting, all entries were good. The pickles to share were tasty as well."

"Enjoyed dinner here as a party of 6. Table was waiting for us when we arrived a few minutes early. No one rushed us through the meal - quite the opposite - we were made to feel welcome and unhurried. Were not familiar with the Georgian wines and were offered samples of different wine types prior to purchasing bottle. The reds are great. Enjoyed several appetizers- the various breads and tomato salad were great. The appetizers are a little pricey, but the portions are large. For mains had various offerings. Portions were well sized. The Oda special liver was excellent. The meat in the kebabs were a little too well done for our taste. No one ever offered us coffee or desert. This is a great restaurant to explore and enjoy."
