Where laughter is required. Jacket & tie are not. Going out with friends or a special someone means choosing a neighborly place that feels as comfortable as home, where conversation flows as easily as a smooth cabernet. Welcome to Ceia Kitchen + Bar. A new kind of nightlife in the heart of Downtown Newburyport, introducing this area"s first extended kitchen hours for later night dining or tête-à-tête cocktails with flavorful small plates. Our exposed brick interior with mellow lighting, cozy banquets and featured cocktail bar beckon even impromptu visits to this reliable neighborly eatery where singles, dates and a posse of good friends are assured of a comfortable night out with delicious food and great company. The spirit of Ceia (pr. SAY-yah) is in the translation of our name: "supper" in Portuguese, the language of one country included among the inspiring stops of our coastal European culinary repertoire.

"Since we are torn on where to go whether sister location or Ceia we always base it on what is available since neither has ever failed us. Our experience with this new menu was absolutely delicious. Our food was so refreshing! far from the norm! We wanted to sit and order more after every course. The new wine list has some really amazing French whites and the owner's love for Rose is crazy. I agreed with her pairings for new dishes and wines. If you haven't been to Newburyport you have to visit her 2 restaurants we are selfishly excited shes considering Boston too until then take the 40 minute drive."

A collaboration with James Beard Award-winner and Boston restaurateur Ken Oringer, Earth promises an unforgettable dining experience that will leave you yearning for more. Nestled amongst balsam trees and birch forest, Earth is the result of a vision—one that embraces community and supports relationships between the world of outstanding cuisine and the farmers and foragers who provide the tools with which we compose incredible fare. Simple yet innovative, Earth"s menu focuses on "farm to fork" freshness. In addition to local meats and seafood, ingredients are used from one of two onsite organic gardens—picked daily and incorporated into each dish to enhance the many flavors and provide a taste that only fresh ingredients deliver.

"The food was really really great! they took great care of us. I just wished the hostess was better at her job. we arrived a little early and waited for our table for quite sometime to only be seated at a table that had been open the entire time we were waiting. I had to approach podium again and she said sure I can seat you. Not sure what happened."

The design of Mistral is both elegant and casual, resonating with the ambiance of Provence as arched floor to ceiling windows drench the room with light.
Mistral’s dramatic dining room serves dinner nightly and Sunday Brunch. In our bar and comfortable lounge area we also offer craft cocktails and fine wines to compliment Chef Mammano’s menu.
Mistral’s private dining room, Le Salon du Mistral, accommodates 60 seated and up to 80 guests for a reception.

"even though the food took a little longer then usual- everything tasted really great. The service team behind that bar was also really amazing. I believe its Lauren and Danielle. The wine service was a little slow but forgivable. We always enjoy mistral."

"We were delaying in our dinner for the evening so we were pleased ESK was open late. All the food was very good- I just wish the server wasn't rushing us along. She kept wanting us to order right away and we still hadn't made our decision. So once we placed our order nothing was really staggered it all basically came out same time."

BRINE is the newest of Nancy Batista-Caswell’s inventive restaurant concepts. With BRINE, her hometown retains the buzz from two exciting eateries that she’s brought to New England through picturesque Newburyport.

BRINE’s sleek, stainless and Carrera marble bar, industrial lighting and ample galvanized furnishings make the fresh fish and butchered meats the stars of the show. Drop by to chose from a daily smorgasbord of Ceviche, Crudo — fresh Bivalves, Tartare, Sashimi, Carpaccio — Cotton, Brandade, and Espumas in addition to select prime cuts and butchered chops. Carpet Baggers, Daily Dock specials and Po’boys will round out a menu of Italian and Spanish influences.

Fans of our sister restaurant Ceia will find operational and culinary fluidity between these two hometown Caswell Restaurant Group establishments. Cheers!
