BRINE is the newest of Nancy Batista-Caswell’s inventive restaurant concepts. With BRINE, her hometown retains the buzz from two exciting eateries that she’s brought to New England through picturesque Newburyport.

BRINE’s sleek, stainless and Carrera marble bar, industrial lighting and ample galvanized furnishings make the fresh fish and butchered meats the stars of the show. Drop by to chose from a daily smorgasbord of Ceviche, Crudo — fresh Bivalves, Tartare, Sashimi, Carpaccio — Cotton, Brandade, and Espumas in addition to select prime cuts and butchered chops. Carpet Baggers, Daily Dock specials and Po’boys will round out a menu of Italian and Spanish influences.

Fans of our sister restaurant Ceia will find operational and culinary fluidity between these two hometown Caswell Restaurant Group establishments. Cheers!

"Still remains my favorite. It's simply outstanding. The feel, the vibe, the food, the staff. Worth the drive outside of city. The owner does such a great job. She's kind and always present when we have dined."

Located at 40 Brattle Street in Harvard Square, Alden & Harlow serves thoughtfully sourced, honest American food in a subterranean, modern and comfortable space. Replicating the style of cooking he does for family and friends in his home kitchen, Chef Michael Scelfo prepares humble, unpretentious food that honors tradition of place in its quality. It's how he connects with anyone who joins them at their table.

While reservations are strongly suggested, we also save a portion of the dining room and bar for walk-ins in the event that your request cannot be accommodated, so, please, come on in!

Parties of 8 or more, please call to make a reservation.
"I was the space loved up the hype. I found my food to be good but not great. Seasoning wasn't there. There are plenty of other great dining options in Cambridge. I will give them another shot at some point"

B&G Oysters is a modern yet classic take on the oyster bar. Located in Boston's South End, B&G Oysters has a decidedly neighborhood feel, combining polished but friendly service with fantastically fresh seafood dishes and food-friendly wines. B&G Oysters has received many accolades over the years for its cuisine and wine program including "Best Seafood" in 2007 and 2008 by Boston Magazine. This subterranean spot draws energy from its open kitchen which is surrounded by a white marble bar. In warmer weather, enjoy drinks and more on the stone patio; a favorite outdoor dining spot in the city. Please note that all reservations are for the interior of the restaurant. Our patio is available solely on a walk-in basis.

As the Seacoast's premier fine-dining restaurant, Bonta excels in quality food, impeccable service and an unmatched ambiance. From a specialty martini on the mahogany bar to an intimate dinner in the private dining room, the setting is perfect for any occasion. The fresh seasonal food is prepared simply but elegantly allowing a unique signature to be placed on every dish. The pastry chef's housemade breads, desserts, and gelatos are sure to please even the most discerning palate.

"Was once amazing - now it's just horrible. I would never be so hard but my meal was completely in edible. Server said it was chefs favorite. How scary is that."

We are honored to have this opportunity to show you the centuries-old Hibachi style of Japanese Food Preparation. Our fresh vegetables, meats, fish and chicken retain their natural juices through this ancient method of firebowl cooking which produces the most succulent meals you will ever taste. Hibachi style food preparation is an art, a precision performance unequaled anywhere under the rising sun.

Where laughter is required. Jacket & tie are not. Going out with friends or a special someone means choosing a neighborly place that feels as comfortable as home, where conversation flows as easily as a smooth cabernet. Welcome to Ceia Kitchen + Bar. A new kind of nightlife in the heart of Downtown Newburyport, introducing this area"s first extended kitchen hours for later night dining or tête-à-tête cocktails with flavorful small plates. Our exposed brick interior with mellow lighting, cozy banquets and featured cocktail bar beckon even impromptu visits to this reliable neighborly eatery where singles, dates and a posse of good friends are assured of a comfortable night out with delicious food and great company. The spirit of Ceia (pr. SAY-yah) is in the translation of our name: "supper" in Portuguese, the language of one country included among the inspiring stops of our coastal European culinary repertoire.

"We have been dining at their other location (which we love) but decided to check out Ceia Saturday night. It's still packed! The owner (who is amazing) was busy running around and took the time to go through the entire new menu with us. The food is better then ever. Salmon was delicious, pasta with pork was rich in flavor, the new appetizer format was perfect. Her wines are stellar. She poured us some new selections of Spanish reds. All in all these two restaurants are the best spots north of Boston and certainly can compete with big city spots. Thanks for giving us your restaurant and brine!"

Anneke Jans is a neighborhood bistro style restaurant where old and new friends gather to eat good food, and drink good wine. Our menu changes often and parking is easy. Come and enjoy an evening with us.
For Gift Cards call 207-439-0001
