"The food was decent but nothing creative or spectacular. My tuna nicoise was too done but my husband's steak was perfect. The calamari should have been crispier. The cake (best thing in the menu according to the server) was too dry for our taste. The service was the worst part...it seemed that servers were disorganized. A lady stopped by to check on things but it didn't occur to her to fill the water glasses or take away the dirty dishes. The empty appetizer dish stayed on the table until the end of the meal! It took forever to get served even though the place was half empty. Not a place I will go back."

Reservations are for the upstairs Izakaya only and not for the Ramen shop.

The Izakaya is a full service restaurant featuring small plates of Japanese tavern fare, as well as a full bar with cocktails, wine, beer, and a large selection of sake and Japanese spirits.

"Dishes are way too small for the pricing. One thing is tapas, the other is small plates, and then these...We had to turn the first one back because it was cold (lamb doesn't taste good cold). There is no option to get Ramen from below and that could have filled us a bit!"

Chef/Owner Robert Wiedmaier of Marcel's opens a casual, contemporary brasserie named after his younger son. The stunning space features an open steel and glass kitchen visible from three sides, set across from a unique family-style chef's table, dramatic 22-foot ceilings and a raw bar located at the end of a grand marble and walnut bar featuring an array of Belgian beers on tap to complement his French Belgian fare. Expansive outdoor patio is open April thru October. REAL certified by the US Healthful Food Council

"This is a nice, cute place with good food. However, the prices do not match the quality or the creativity of the dishes. Price for the value is off."
