A Livanos' family creation, Molyvos is the closest you can get to Greece in New York City. Critics agree that Molyvos serves perhaps the finest example of Greek cuisine in New York, and beyond. People from around the world have discovered that Molyvos serves the true foods and wines of Greece, along with a large dose of the country’s warm and lively spirit. Molyvos’ menu is built upon the home-style cooking of Greece using authentic recipes, classical cooking techniques and superior ingredients. The wine list, under the keen direction of Kamal Kouiri, is unique for its depth and breadth of excellent Greek labels and small producers from the Mediterranean whose wine deserves to be enjoyed. Molyvos also boasts a carefully selected Pre and Post-theatre menu that perfectly accompanies an evening of entertainment.

"The food was tasty and interesting, and the pre-theater menu is a real bargain. Service was efficient and pleasant. I definitely recommend it, especially if you're heading to a show after dinner."

"Absolutely terrific. They take the standards and somehow elevate them by making them tastier and lighter. Servings are ample, prices are reasonable, and service is excellent."

Breathing new life into a hundred year old brownstone in the West Village, Bobo hums with the excited din of a dinner party. Bobo is a clubhouse for spirited grown-ups to enjoy soulful seasonal French food in a fantasy townhouse setting that marries European elegance and romance with New York’s downtown energy. Chef Cedric Tovar’s (Daniel, Peacock Alley, Town) menus offer a contemporary take on seasonal French classics that celebrate our region’s best ingredients, from same-day fish and shellfish from the shores of Long Island, to heritage duck and heirloom produce from the Hudson Valley.

Bobo is open for dinner nightly, happy hour, and brunch on the weekends. The bar serves seasonal cocktails and sustainably produced wines from family-owned vineyards. The restaurant was designed by Dekar and spans several floors of our elegant and funky house, offering a cohesive blend of environments, including a garden, main dining room, and rooftop terrace, for a range of occasions.

"The food was terrific--creative and intensely flavored. The ravioli appetizer was amazing. It took a while for the receptionist to appear, but after that the service was prompt and efficient."

"Conventional red sauce Italian, but beautifully prepared and quite inexpensive. Pastas were outstanding, as were the fried zucchini sticks. There’s loud music, but it’s still possible to carry on a conversation."

Rayuela
Rayuela
Rayuela introduces the first-of-its kind Estilo Libre Latino (freestyle Latino) cuisine, which respects yet redefines Latin American and Spanish cuisines. While the basic structure of traditional dishes will be maintained, the actual ingredients may be unconventional and may come from over a dozen Latin American countries including Peru, Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, as well as Spain.

"Some of the dishes were superb--well-executed and interesting (e.g., the mushroom croquettes). But the paella wasn't all that tasty, and the grilled scallops were a bit boring. I've been here before and had better meals, so perhaps this experience was an anomaly. Service was very pleasant, but somewhat slow."

Perilla is a critically acclaimed neighborhood restaurant opened by Chef Harold Dieterle and Alicia Nosenzo. Located on Jones Street, a quiet block off of West 4th in Greenwich Village, it features a welcoming atmosphere and exceptional food. The menu is seasonal and changes regularly, but a number of customer favorites remain year-round. Complementing the food is an eclectic mix of wines and spirits, focusing on many smaller producers from the U.S. and around the world, meant to be approachable for all palates and price points. Open for dinner seven days a week and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The current menu can be found at www.perillanyc.com.

"Interesting and beautifully prepared food, and friendly and professional service. Some of the flavor combinations are unusual, but they really work. (If you don't believe me, try the basil ice cream for dessert)."

Chef Luke Wallace prepares seasonal inspired dishes at Tom Colicchio’s casual Flatiron restaurant. The menu features a wide variety of small & large plates from Snacks, House-Made Charcuterie, Salumi, Artisanal Cheeses, Salads as well as Handmade Pastas, all expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The rustic and comfortable dining room lends itself to a quick lunch where guests can try our Croque Monsieur, a full dinner of Choucroute Garnie and Ricotta Ravioli, or a snack of Pecorino Arancini and East Coast Oysters. We are also serving a soul-satisfying brunch with dishes like Pork Scrapple & Eggs and our Applewood Smoked Salmon prepared in-house. Be sure to save room for Pastry Chef, Abby Swain’s creations including her take on the S’mores Tart.

"This was my second visit. The first time it was outstanding, but this time I was a bit disappointed. The kielbasa appetizer was fantastic, but the main course fried chicken was dry and didn't have much taste. Service was pleasant and efficient."
