Our passion is to serve guests full-flavored, traditional, regional American foods in a down-to-earth restaurant atmosphere. <br /><br />James Beard-winning Chef Alex Young and the Roadhouse crew serve a daily breakfast, lunch & dinner menu and weekly specials, with a passion for Really Good American Food, using seasonal, heirloom produce from Cornman Farms—our very own farm, supplying Roadhouse tables with hours-old vegetables. <br /><br />Our All-American Bar serves carefully chosen wine and beer lists and an extensive Classic Cocktail menu that embraces balance and a return to better ingredients. <br /><br />Join us for our Monthly Special Dinners and explore in-depth, regional American cuisine with guest culinary experts and producers. <br /><br />We build community connections by hosting local music outdoors on our patio, a farmers market in the Roadhouse parking lot & fundraisers for local non-profits. <br />

"Went for a deferred Father's Day brunch with my wife and 23 y.o. son. We had a great meal and a great time. Service was consistently friendly, attentive and server had a great sense of humor. (I love it when people laugh seem to sincerely find my jokes at least a bit humorouse.) I am diabetic and my blood sugar was low on arrival so my server promptly brought me a glass of (delicious) fresh orange juice and to my surprise, it was nowhere on the bill. Right on!"

"Met a friend for a beer and snack. Staff were happy to sample the various beers on tap without any sense it was a hassle.
Patio was great and the whole scene worked well.

Red Stag Grill features contemporary European comfort food, an extensive wine by the glass menu, and a lively bar scene within a casual setting in the heart of the Village. The Red Stag Grill is known for integrating local ingredients and flavor into each creative dish. Featured items include skillet roasted mussels, beef goulash with spaetzle, and grilled elk filet.. The Red Stag Grill also offers chop house style large and small portions of quality steaks.

"Went for a special meal to cap off a week of vacation in Asheville with my wife. Waitress was congenial and eager to be helpful. Service was quite slow even by Carolina standards but that was OK for us. They offered some very nice wines by the glass which was a plus and were happy to touch up a mixed drink to make it just right. Unfortunately, one dish came lukewarm and the other hot, I would guess so we could both be served our next course at the same time. The more straightforward dishes were the best while a couple of items that seemed more oriented to foodies didn't quite make it. Overall, we had a very nice time and would consider going again."

"We had another great meal at the Roadhouse, this time a birthday breakfast. As usual, the staff were very friendly and eager to please. Loved my bacon and grits waffles served with REAL MAPLE SYRUP - Yum! The menu consistently has creative combinations with locally sourced ingredients where possible including the eggs. However, the eggs are remarkably better than anywhere else I have eaten. Don't know how they ca do that but they do! The server asked if I had eaten there before and I had to reply "Ilive here...." which of course isn't true though I sometimes wish I did."

"I had an excellent meal for my birthday celebration. Food was made with top quality ingredients and prepared just as requested. Minor glitch in that my medium rare Beef Wellington had a doughy pastry puff which the staff attended to promptly and happily. Had some very good wine by the glass as well. Leftovers the next day confirmed how good the food was. Being a well traveled foodie I was very happy to have a meal that was very very good and exceeded expectations."
