Chalkboard restaurant, open May 2013 under Executive Chef Shane McAnelly, offers a modern small plates menu emphasizing seasonal and technique-driven fare. McAnelly sources much of his menu from local purveyors and farms, with many ingredients coming from the restaurant’s own dedicated 3-acre vegetable and herb garden located at nearby Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards. Highlights on the daily changing menu include crudos and tartare, house-made pastas, just picked salads, roasted and grilled meats and seafood. The dining room has been completely remodeled into a contemporary and welcoming space with an open kitchen, new banquettes, hardwood floors, hand-forged iron finishes. The bar has also been renovated to create a lively environment with new finishes such as a Carrera marble bar-top. Offerings of local wine flights and an extensive list of wine-by-the-glass are a major focus at Chalkboard, as well the cocktail menu inspired by fresh ingredients from the Chalk Hill garden.

"Great place with innovative, tasty food. This is not yet another good restaurant - the Bay Area has plenty of those - this place is awesome. The chef definitely experiments and knows his stuff"

Hello! We are Antonio and Rosaria, a young couple from Southern Italy. We come from two small beautiful sea towns named Scalea and San Nicola Arcella.
Antonio is a Master Chef and Rosaria has a hobby..... she loves to sing all traditional Italian songs. She sings only for private parties on request.
Antonio is very meticulous to choose the fresh stuff and he takes care for the presentation of the dishes. Rosaria likes to make decorations for different holidays and special events.
We are a gourmet restaurant and we will do our best not to disappoint your experience. Our goal is to share with you our flavors and the culture of Southern Italy.
We propose to you the authentic traditional dishes from the Calabria, region of Italy, in a classic, refined and intimate atmosphere where you will feel at home on all occasions, from a weeknight with your friends to weekend date night to a family gathering. We look forward to meeting you soon.
"Food was very good and service also exceptionally attentive. They were very accommodating and all the food tasted like it was made in a home kitchen, no artificial/jarred/packaged food here."

Renowned for serving innovative cuisine that blends European and Asian flavors, CHAYA Brasserie has been tempting palates in San Francisco for the last 12 years. With the culinary expertise of Executive Chef Yuko Kajino at the helm, CHAYA Brasserie brings the restaurant’s Euro-Asian cooking to a comfortable, business casual atmosphere. The two combined rooms offer magnificent views from every seat in the restaurant that sweep from the Ferry Building to the Bay Bridge. The main dining room offers a lively bar/dining area and the more serene carpeted dining room offers a more private setting as well as a sushi bar and a glass sushi table, both reserved for reservation or drop-in guests. Chaya Brasserie is known for top quality Sushi, innovative cuisine, stunning design, and superb service.

"This was not our first time at Chaya but it has been a few years since we were there. The place still serves great food and when you have the
chance to sit near the large windows you get a lovely view of the Bay Bridge/Bay/Embarcadero. The drinks from the bar are masterfully mixed so that is another plus. And as for dessert you have to get the chocolate croissant bread pudding. I am not a bread pudding person at all but this is the only one I will eat and would go out of my way to eat here just to get it.
