Inspired to create a casual Italian restaurant in their own neighborhood, the culinary team behind Washington, DC’s award-winning Ristorante Tosca opened the doors to Posto, “a modern Italian place to meet,” in December 2008. It is located in a beautiful, century-old building (which at one time was a car dealership!) on the newly re-energized 14th St. NW – right next door to The Studio Theater, and just steps away from P St. and its hubbub of activity. As a proud new addition to the Logan Circle neighborhood, Posto serves classic and modern Italian dishes, and is the perfect place to drop in for a cocktail and a quick bite, or a multi-course meal shared with friends. A custom-built, wood-burning oven located in the back of the dining room entices guests with the smells of just-baked Neapolitan style pizzas and focaccia.

"We had the pre-theater special. The restaurant is perfectly located, just a few steps away from the Studio theater. We picked up the tickets first .That was a good move.
The salad was small but perfect since it really is not a good idea to eat a lot before the show. The branzini was terrific, as were the vegetables it was served with, some mixture of spinach and onions, and I don't know what else. The gelato was very good as well; again, no huge servings, but just adequate for the occasion, and well priced.
Just a great place; not too noisy, unpretentious, efficient service, good food. Will be back.

Morton's The Steakhouse, the nation's premier steakhouse group, specializes in classic, hearty fare, serving generous portions of USDA prime aged beef, as well as fresh fish, lobster and chicken entrees. The menu features a variety of favorite cuts, including a 24 ounce porterhouse, which is the house specialty; a 16 ounce New York Strip and a 12 ounce double cut filet.

"Loved the french fries and the bread. One person was very satisfied with the filet and crab special, another was happy with her steak and I was pleased with my ahi tuna appetizer and the hot chocolate cake. One of us was very unhappy with his steak and returned it. Apparently it was tough and flavorless. So maybe the quality of the meat is not predictable.
You save a bit if you ask for the special, and one can be found on their web site but is not mentioned by the waiter. All in all, not a bad deal."

"We have eaten here several times and I find that not all dishes are that good; the Cornish hen was tasteless; the fish was well prepared and the sides were good, but someone needs to find that spice rack and add some excitement to the food. We'll be back anyway; it is so convenient and they do have a good menu."

"We ordered the paella and had a hard time finding the chicken, although there were two nice pieces of chorizo. I know there is supposed to be a lot of rice, yet there was too much in proportion to the rest. So the price for mostly rice seems a bit steep.
We liked the appetizers, specially the french fries, ham and egg mixture; it did not look like the Spanish dish that I have tasted in the past, but it was good anyway. The sangria, perhaps a bit watered down. Desserts try to be imaginative and succeed up to a point. Green pistachio tiramisu anyone?
This is a very nice restaurant; service was good, although they did not ask us if we wanted drinks before dinner and there was no drinks menu. It was busy and the staff was trying to keep up.

"As someone who prefers to eat fish rather than meat, this place has the best selection around and prices are competitive. The Chilean sea bass was nicely prepared although it comes with risotto, which is not my favorite food, and in this case was rather tasteless. Everything else was great; the spinach salad, the bread, the drinks, the service, the dessert, etc. A wonderful restaurant to have in the neighborhood, free of parking hassles, and very popular, from what one can see."

"My quiche and the onion soup were very good, although not as outstanding as the bread. The hanger steak was tough and came cold. The fries that came along were a bit limp. The goat cheese that was supposed to come chaud with the salad was not chaud and the toast it sat on was as hard as a rock. I think this place is good for brunch, or lunch; not so sure about dinner. I wish I had tried the crepes, they sound delicious.
One plus is that the waiter was very friendly but one minus is that the restroom needs some attention.

"To start with, there is no elevator; if you cannot walk up 2 flights of stairs to use the restroom, stay away. There should be a warning on their site. Only restaurant I have been to that has this issue. Apparently they have been "grandfathered" in, so no need to serve the whole population.
Other than that, although the portions were small, the branzino was excellent as was the duck. The dessert, rocky road, I believe, was too dense.
Service was excellent as well, but I took a start off for the lack of elevator.
There was actually a good number of young couples as well as seniors, and everyone was dressed up. Jackets are strongly suggested, or required, not sure.
