"We ordered the paella and had a hard time finding the chicken, although there were two nice pieces of chorizo. I know there is supposed to be a lot of rice, yet there was too much in proportion to the rest. So the price for mostly rice seems a bit steep.
We liked the appetizers, specially the french fries, ham and egg mixture; it did not look like the Spanish dish that I have tasted in the past, but it was good anyway. The sangria, perhaps a bit watered down. Desserts try to be imaginative and succeed up to a point. Green pistachio tiramisu anyone?
This is a very nice restaurant; service was good, although they did not ask us if we wanted drinks before dinner and there was no drinks menu. It was busy and the staff was trying to keep up.

"As someone who prefers to eat fish rather than meat, this place has the best selection around and prices are competitive. The Chilean sea bass was nicely prepared although it comes with risotto, which is not my favorite food, and in this case was rather tasteless. Everything else was great; the spinach salad, the bread, the drinks, the service, the dessert, etc. A wonderful restaurant to have in the neighborhood, free of parking hassles, and very popular, from what one can see."

"My quiche and the onion soup were very good, although not as outstanding as the bread. The hanger steak was tough and came cold. The fries that came along were a bit limp. The goat cheese that was supposed to come chaud with the salad was not chaud and the toast it sat on was as hard as a rock. I think this place is good for brunch, or lunch; not so sure about dinner. I wish I had tried the crepes, they sound delicious.
One plus is that the waiter was very friendly but one minus is that the restroom needs some attention.

Sitting on a quiet residential street in Georgetown, 1789 Restaurant has the charm of a historic country inn. Chef Samuel Kim’s contemporary seasonal menu blends the flavors of fresh regional ingredients into unique and delicious summer dishes. A modern twist on classic desserts by Pastry Chef Ryan Westover.

2014 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence; Zagat Top Ratings in Food, Service, Decor, and Most Popular; DiRona Award Winner; 3 Stars from 2014 Washingtonian magazine.
"To start with, there is no elevator; if you cannot walk up 2 flights of stairs to use the restroom, stay away. There should be a warning on their site. Only restaurant I have been to that has this issue. Apparently they have been "grandfathered" in, so no need to serve the whole population.
Other than that, although the portions were small, the branzino was excellent as was the duck. The dessert, rocky road, I believe, was too dense.
Service was excellent as well, but I took a start off for the lack of elevator.
There was actually a good number of young couples as well as seniors, and everyone was dressed up. Jackets are strongly suggested, or required, not sure.

Modern Californian cuisine utilizing locally grown, sustainably farmed and fair-traded products. Our goal is to not only enhance quality but also to support a new, more responsible attitude toward our community and the world around us. That is why we donate all net profits to chartable causes. Both warm and inviting, nature was the inspiration for Andrei's interior; from the soaring two-story waterfall in the lobby to the striking onyx and granite bar and eco-friendly pecan wood floors, every detail was hand-selected for its natural beauty. We welcome you to visit Andrei's for a truly special dining experience.
"Very good price for drinks until 7
Food is just so so. The pasta dish was good, but the salmon tacos were laughable. Thick tortilla pancakes with little bits of salmon and cole slaw held together with tooth picks
I asked for the salad on the side and it did come on the side, as well as on top.
But we saw good things on the menu which we will try next time; always give a restaurant a second chance.

With the look and feel of one of the "Great Camps" of the Adirondacks, Tower Oaks Lodge serves an American-style saloon menu. Adjacent to a 21-acre nature preserve, Tower Oaks Lodge is located just off I-270. The raw bar features oysters from both coasts.

"We have never been disappointed but not always thrilled. The fish is always good; the crab cakes were met with indifference. Filet Mignon not that exciting. Service was a bit indifferent this time, though usually very good.
Loud place; the sound tends to bounce off the walls, at least in the room we were; I believe the other room, where they have regular tables, not booths, is quieter. Stay away from the bar, specially during world cup.
Suggestion: when you see a very old lady coming in, do not seat her near the bar.
