"Went to SumoMaya for the first time and it won't be the last. We were seated immediately and our server, Jeanette, gave us a quick SumoMaya 101 orientation on how best to order...1 or 2 small plates at a time, with a break between orders, until we were satisfied. We did just that....well kinda. The menu selection was amazingly varied and had Asian specialties, Mexican specialties and mixed Asian/Mexican fusion specialties. While enjoying cocktails, we started with the BACON GUACAMOLE served with freshly fried & crispy tortillas. Fabulous!!!! We then moved on to share a couple of Sumo Rolls - ROLLO CHINGON which was one of those Asian/Mexican fusion items...grilled shrimp, guac, cilantro, jalapeno served with red lotus root chips and the SUMO GREEN ROLL - largely Asian with a variety of green veggies served with green tomatillo salsa. Both rolls were absolutely delicious and full of flavors. Finally, we then shared BACON WRAPPED MEDJOOL DATES stuffed with Oaxaca cheese & chorizo and ROCK SHRIMP TEMPURA with spicy mayo, snow peas and black truffle vinaigrette. Two totally different plates, but they complimented each other very well. At that point we should have stopped but we both HAD to try dessert, ordering the Warm Carrot Cake & the Flan Cheesecake.....heavenly! Our server Jeanette was fabulous, friendly & very knowledgeable. Even though I think it's a little pricey for tapas-style portions, we definitely will return because it was SO good and there are so many other items on the menu we want to try. Next visit we will take more time on each plate and take a break between ordering plates as this time we definitely ordered too quickly ...even though Jeanette warned us not to. As a result, were somewhat uncomfortably full at the end of our evening. Live and learn!!!"

The only thing primitive about Wildfish Seafood Grille is the swimmingly fresh seafood -- mostly caught the day before and shipped next day on ice. Otherwise, this cosmopolitan bistro is as sophisticated as any fine eatery in New York or Vegas. Burnished wood, dim theatrical lighting, cozy tables, a stylish exhibition kitchen and central bar with several TVs available to catch the game embellish the interior. Veteran restaurateurs Guy Villavaso and Larry Foles (Z'Tejas, Eddie V's Edgewater Grille) have created a fierce seafood-steakhouse combination, which attracts food-loving couples, ladies on a luxurious night out and sexy singles at the bar. Because Wildfish is not as wallet-busting as similar concepts in the area, go ahead and start with a spicy lump crab cake surrounded in a buttery remoulade sauce. If you're in the mood for steak, pick a finely aged filet, rib eye or veal chop.

"Our first time at Wildfish. Staff were attentive & very friendly. We were allowed to enjoy leisurely cocktails while we looked over the menu. We ordered a shrimp cocktail and the steak & lobster tartare as appetizers. I had high hopes for the tartare but was disappointed as it lack seasoning. Scallops & Chilean Sea Bass - the night's special cooked simply - were ordered for entrees. Scallops were exceptional - full of flavor. My dish - the sea bass - while cooked perfectly, was under seasoned. I wish I had ordered it Hong Kong style. Desserts - Godiva molten cake & Bananas Foster cake -were very good...a nice ending. Our waiter, Eric was very helpful in making our selections & there when we needed him. We will return."

"What an amazing experience!!! Appetizers - I had Gazpacho Verde which was so unique with the mussel "topping". My wife thoroughly enjoyed the creamy, almost buttery Buratta. Entrees - my wife ordered Amaro Meatloaf - truly comfort food with a rich mushroom cream sauce. I chose Bacon wrapped scallops which were cooked perfectly. The wilted snow pea greens were amazing. Desserts - I had the Bacon & Peach pie. Very tasty, but the crust was overcooked. My wife got the Cocoa Jar. Said it was the best dessert she'd ever had!!!. Our server, Matt was fantastic!!!! Very knowledgeable about ALL the dishes. We asked a lot of questions since many items on the menu we'd never had and he took the time to answer every one. We DEFINITELY will be back."
