Established in 1920, The Waverly Inn was reopened in 2006 by Vanity Fair Editor-in-Chief Graydon Carter along with Sean MacPherson and Eric Goode (of the Maritime and Bowery Hotels) and Emil Varda. Tucked into the ground floors of two adjoining townhouses, the dining room's red booths, fireplaces and low amber lighting provide an attractive and cozy hangout for the city’s best and brightest. Chef Ashley Merriman’s menu features American classics alongside contemporary seasonal dishes using organic, local ingredients.

"Located within a small neighborhood. Doesn't look like much from the outside but explodes with character and beauty inside and get much large too. Good service, great wine and food to choose from. Loved the octopus appetizer and gnocchi entree. My wife's steak was overcooked and flavor just did not hit the spot. Beet salad was awesome. We sat in the enclosed garden area and it was enchanting. Bar was nice with large fireplace going, could have hung out there all night. Sommelier on site and was very nice."

Calle Dão (Knife Street) is a Cuban-Chinese fusion restaurant designed to pay homage to Havana’s once-thriving El Barrio Chino. Formerly the largest Chinatown in Latin America, El Barrio Chino is now confined to one narrow street, Calle Cuchillo – Knife Street - from which Calle Dão takes its name.<br /><br />The cuisine, cocktails and décor of Calle Dão strive to transport our guests back to El Barrio Chino when it was at the height of its existence. <br /><br />Step into a bygone era and enjoy a modern dining experience at Calle Dão.<br />

"Good bar with a great variety of specialty drinks. You can tell they take a lot of pride is prep and taste. The food is a Cuban- Chinese fusion. They have some very interesting dishes. Mostly hits with a couple of misses that they can easily fix. Recommend duck empanada appetizer. and Goat neck entree. Tuna appetizer was too sour and lacked flavor. Paella was made with a noodle, flavor was ok but texture did not go with dish concept, I would have preferred a fried rice mixture instead. Must have Churros for desert, served with a light chocolate sauce, superb.
Service was lacking and inconsistent. So was food service. I noticed same dishes ordered coming out much quicker at other tables and at some before ours.
I would go back and give them more opportunities to make a better impression."

"Located in the Paris hotel with private elevator. The view is spectacular - Of the the strip and directly across the Bellagio Lake and water show. Every seat has a view. Food was expensive but we expected it to be. Great variety of dishes and everyone at our table was very happy. Souffle is a must."

"This place has a great look and is much bigger than at first glance. Inventive cocktails including a Mexican Mule made with Mescal! Loved it. The food is great and with the foodie in mind, but most importantly the casual guest would not feel awkward ordering great takes on classic Mexican food. Fish tacos where amazing and portions are really good, perfect chips and salsas, Torta was awesome, Enchiladas beautiful, Short rib to die for and lastly the service was frequent and Brian cared."

Farmshop, opened in 2010, is a Restaurant and an Artisanal Market & Bakery located in the historical 1948 Brentwood Country Mart on 26th Street in Santa Monica. <br /><br />Jeff Cerciello's cuisine focuses on seasonal local ingredients. Irene Verbila from the LA Times wrote " Sunday nights at Farmshop are devoted to fried chicken… it's the best...but the bird I'm nominating as one of the 10 Best Meals is Cerciello's organic roasted chicken...golden and crisp, the flesh dense yet moist, each bite was better than the last."<br /><br />In addition to highlighting fresh local produce, Farmshop offers a 300 choice California-centric wine list, a market with curated cheeses, charcuterie, artisanal foods and housewares, all an homage to the many California based farmers, producers and purveyors we are proud to showcase.

"Located in a small boutique shopping center with other food and coffee establishments. Had the price fixe menu on Sunday Chicken Night. Server was great, explained the menu well and happy to see the meal exceeded expectations. She also made very good wine suggestion, which I appreciated. The food was amazing and fresh. The bonus is that they restaurant also sells beautiful cheeses, wines and other specialty items on par with Dean & DeLuca. Must Eat!"
