Mario Batali, Joseph Bastianich, Andy Nusser and Nancy Selzer, the team that brought you Tarry Lodge in Port Chester, NY is excited to announce the opening Tarry Lodge Enoteca Pizzeria, TL's casual little sister, in Saugatuck.
Tarry Lodge Enoteca Pizzeria features Andy Nusser's signature hand-made pastas, exquisite fritti, and succulent meats cooked to order on our wood fired grill. The menu will have a distinct focus on local ingredients and we are taking full advantage of Westport's bustling farmer's market.
The centerpiece of the room is a Mugnaini pizza oven hand crafted by the famed Refratarri Valoriani, a family of artisans making pizza ovens since 1890. This fantastic oven will be surrounded by a dining counter, where guests can watch pizzaiolo Mario La Posta craft his world class pies.

"We have eaten over five times in this restaurant. It is consistently uneven with mediocre service. The Portchester restaurant is much better than the Westport restaurant. The food ranges from poor (seafood with sand in it, shrimp that did not have the digestive tract removed, over pungently fishy smelling (over-aged) scallop crudo; embarrasingly few, sub-miniature over aged rock shrimp in black linguine (a dish that was spectacular in the Port Chester restaurant); rubbery over cooked clams in shells on clam pizza (the four pizzas all had completely burnt bottoms which we were told is how rustic food that this restaurant is correctly prepared); to wonderful (Vegetarania Pizza, subtle balanced Spagehetti Alla Carbonara & duck Pappardelle)."

"The five of us ate at 7 pm Sunday night. Beautiful, romantic restaurant serving $11 salads and $37 entrees. Table crazy close together that is crazy load. Disgusting bathroom. Nice over worked waiters with not enough help. Osso bucco was wonderful and huge. Salad was over dressed. Cost $85 per person with wine. For that kind of money salad should be correctly dressed, there should be much better service, clean bathroom (I could not find anyone to tell about the disgusting bathroom), and tables further apart. The free sambuco and amaretto at the end was a nice touch. Lightly dress salad right before serving, hire more help, keep bathroom clean and get rid of a few tables."
