A cabin-style watering hole with amazing food and drink, Copperwood Tavern is your oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city. Specializing in seasonal American small plates, we feature prime cuts of local game, farm-raised poultry, beef and fresh fish accompanied with hearty, family-style sides.

"We had Signature theater that night and sought a restaurant nearby. The Copperwood Tavern is just down the street and has a nicely varied menu. Since two of us like to combine (and share) small plates, the menu worked well. Some food - the oven roasted oysters, the pate and the short ribs were very good. The mussels were over flavored with bacon and blue cheese too strong to hold up to the delicate flavor of the seafood. The steak on the caesar had no flavor and was more than chewy. The trout was too heavily covered with seasoning, again, overwhelming the normal mild flavor of the fish. Good drinks, fine wine, very good service."

"We have eaten here several times, but this was among our best visits. The choice of chaucuterie is always great and the duck prosciutto is outstanding. I has a lobster risotto which was among the best dishes I've ever had. The risotto was perfectly cooked with a whole lobster out of its shell and succulent. Great frites, great desserts, wonderful wines. What's not to like?"

"This was our first time an made us remember how much we miss the old Kincaid's and it's fine food. The food is fantastic - not a miss among our many choices. I am trying to lose some weight and loved the number of dishes I could indulge in and not feel guilty. The wonderful oyster sampler came from all cold water locations (the best); the salads our outstanding and my swordfish was wonderful and had fabulous fried (very light batter) zucchini strips that are better than potato chips. They will close soon for remodeling and will have a casual trattoria until they reopen but we will be back. Close enough to the Kennedy to walk to performances. An overall great experience."
