Sapphire Boca Raton is the latest and most enthralling new venture by NJ/NY based Indian Cuisine Restauranteur Raju Brahmbhatt. Indian Cuisine, the food from the Indian subcontinent in Asia is primarily characterized by the extensive use of various spices, herbs and other vegetables and sometimes fruits. The subcontinent is as diversified in its culinary traditions as its languages and religions, thus, include a wide assortment of dishes and cooking techniques. As a consequence, it varied from region to region, reflecting the varied demographics. The idea behind this concept is to show Floridians something that reflects modern India in terms of design, ambiance, and cuisine.

"After residing in the UK for many years, and frequenting good Indian restaurants on a regular basis, we've had intermittent success with finding a good Indian restaurant in the Boca/Delray area, without having to travel to one of the best on this coast, located in WPB, "Taste of India."
We ate at Sapphire months ago, shortly aftter their opening, and were very pleased with the food, ambience, service, etc., and thought we finally found our "neighborhood" Indian restaurant, and returned a short time afterwards.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed in that the portion size, although not looking for large portions, were cut dramatically, but the flaor of the food was excellent, the service okay, and we decided we'd give it another try.
This last time, the manager introduced us to the waiter, his first day on the job, and you can tell without having been advised of this, that he was a novice, at least to Indian cuisine. He neglected to ask whether we would like our food served hot, medium, or mild in regard to spices and, admittedly we forgot to mention this to him. Consequently, the food, 4 different dishes, came out bland, and almost tasteless for the four of us, and when it was mentioned, instead of offering new servings, the waiter brought some chopped hot green peppers to add to the food, which certainly was not appropriate, nor did it help. So....! The restaurant is beautiful, has so much potential, and we're upset in that the food is mediocre at best, and feel that they need to put some more time in to planning their dishes properly, not use one or two of the same spices for all dishes, and pass it off as authentic! Sad! But, one can live in hope!!"

Buccan (pronounced boo-cahn) is a restaurant, bar and lounge in the heart of Palm Beach. The concept, conceived by acclaimed Miami Chef Clay Conley, is primarily a high-end bistro, featuring progressive American cuisine, in a casually sophisticated setting. The predominant characteristic of buccan's menu is a changing array of small plates - highlighting the use of superior ingredients and preparation - offering an adventurous and memorable dining experience. Guests are welcome for a quick bite at the bar, a specialty cocktail in the lounge, or for a long, leisurely evening.

Visit our web page for more information, updates and special events.

"This was the experience we had with our friends since the restaurant was frenetic, noisy, and expensive....for what it is!
While the service was okay, the server indicated the portions were "small plates" but one of the party had a pizza suitable for two or more people. Still, it was a nice experience that we are unlikely to repeat. One of the main reasons, truthfully, is that it is obviously, from what we saw, supposed to be a "happening place" for younger people, and there were all kinds of hardbodies around, but if you're over 50, if you like noise, and unable, literally to hold a conversation, you'll love Buccan!! Good luck!"

Experience the charm of Italy without the jet lag. The Carvelli family has created a little slice of their homeland and brought it to Boca Raton. Sophisticated taste blends into a family atmosphere where each guest will feel at home while enjoying signature dishes and carefully selected wines. The menu combines northern, central and southern Italian cuisine.

"With some trepidation in going to a mall restaurant, although there are some very good good ones around, we were pleasantly surprised by the ambience and quality of the restaurant, food, and service both excellent. However, it was very pricey in the opinion of the four of us, which is a shame, since we won't be running back there often, unless we take out a mortgage! Four sea scallops with ravioli was $8+ per scallop. But it's in the eye of the beholder, and those not minding spending so much, will no doubt frequent the restaurant regularly. If prices comes down on a par with other similar type restaurants (Italian), we will make it a regular outing. I know the rents are high in a mall, but.......! We met the owner, and manager, good p.r."

"We've been to the restaurant many times after our first experience when they opened, which was not stellar! Now, especially with the prix fixe menu, everything has come together to make it a wonderful experience, from both a food and service perspective, and the four of us were impressed. Will definitely go back!"
