With decades in the family restaurant business, Dario Vullo has brought his family's legacy to the United States to share the great traditions of food in Italy to Chicago with the help of his fiancé and co-owner, Amy Yetasook. Amy is a newly proclaimed Chicagoan and med student studying to become a surgeon.

Executive Chef/brother Alessio Vullo and restaurant namesake Nando (a dignified Italian dachshund) complete the restaurant family. Chef Alessio holds the Vullo family secrets, instructing the team every morning in making fresh pasta, breads, and desserts to the highest Italian standards.

We hope you will stop in and experience our cozy Italian world.

Love, Dario and Amy (owners)

The first Lettuce Entertain You restaurant, Grunts still exudes the funky, devil-may-care lifestyle of the 70s in its style, décor, music, and menu. Happily for all of us, the best eating of that day continues to be some of the best today.

While there"s a huge menu that's as much fun to eat your way through as it is to read, many of Grunts' old favorites spark return visits. The burgers are arguably the best in town. The salad bar boasts more than 50 ingredients daily. Giant malts and milkshakes are hand scooped and come in a rainbow of favors. Oh! Don't forget the barbecued baby back ribs and pulled pork sandwiches!

"more than half of the menu is gone. There seems to be a rush to get you in and out. My wife and I were there 1 hour and 15 minutes. The check before tip was $100 for 2 salads, 2 entrees and 2 glasses of wine and the food was very uninteresting and at best, ordinary. We have been going there for years but I see no reason to return."

Mon Ami Gabi is a classic French bistro and steakhouse. While the favorites are all here in abundance, there is always something new to try from the ever-evolving menu. The traditional menu features classics such as the warm Onion Soup Au Gratin, Frisée & Bacon Salad with a soft-poached egg and croutons, Roast Chicken grand-mère style with mushrooms, bacon and pearl onions, as well as the trademark Steak Frites.
To complement the cuisine, an extensive selection of over 80 boutique French wine varietals are served by the glass or bottle from our signature rolling wine cart. Guests will enjoy the airy interior with our large French windows opening out onto the Lincoln Park Conservatory, or in the summer months, the lovely outdoor garden.
Please Note: Reservations are taken for indoor seating only. Outdoor patio seating is available on first-come, first-serve bases.

Francesca’s on Chestnut is a member of The Francesca's Restaurant Group. Located in the Seneca Boutique Apartments, the restaurant brings its famous rustic, Italian cuisine to the 180-seat space. Chef Martin Ontiveros leads the kitchen, providing Francesca’s classic fare of zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. The wine list and specialty drinks are equally impressive in this one-of-a-kind location featuring a hidden wine bar, DiSotto Enoteca, in its basement.

About The Francesca’s Restaurant Group: Founded in 1992 by Restaurateur Scott Harris, Francesca’s Restaurant Group has grown from a small, welcoming Italian restaurant on Chicago’s North Clark Street to a restaurant group of three concepts across 33 locations and four states. Based in Chicago, Francesca’s Restaurant Group currently owns and operates 23 Francesca’s Restaurants, five Davanti Enoteca, and five Glazed and Infused locations.
