In April 1999, Restaurant Nora became America's first certified organic restaurant. This means that 95% or more of everything that you eat at the restaurant has been produced by certified organic growers and farmers all who share in Nora's commitment to sustainable agriculture. Nora always offers seasonal, fresh organic food, prepared in a healthy, balanced way and enjoys a "big following" of environmentalists and politicians, who can eat here with a clear conscience, knowing that what's on their plate hasn't polluted the environment, is healthy for them, and tastes good too. Nora offers a special chef's tasting menu, which is perfectly accompanied by a spectacular choice of wines from our award winning wine list, featuring over 100 exceptional wines from small wine producers. <br />

Hill Country is proud to have opened in DC! Named "Best Barbecue in NY" by both New York Magazine and Time Out New York, "Top 10 Barbecue in the U.S." by the Wall Street Journal and "Best New Restaurants of the Year" by New York Magazine, Hill Country takes its "cue" from legendary Texas barbecue joint Kreuz Market and its distinctive dry-rub style. Hill Country's brisket, sausage, ribs and other meats are smoked low and slow over Texas post oak. The barbecue is served in butcher paper, counter-style by the pound, with traditional trimmings.

In 1984, Rosa Mexicano set a new standard for Mexican cuisine when it first opened in New York City. Playing a leading role in defining what was then a "new" cuisine to American diners, Rosa Mexicano delivers authentic Mexican cooking in an accessible, stylishly festive atmosphere. Rosa Mexicano's menu features a range of award-winning signature dishes, including our Guacamole en Molcajete, in a traditional lava rock mortar. Described by Time Out New York as "green ecstasy in a stone bowl," it is prepared table side and served with house made chips, warm corn tortillas and condiment salsas. Rosa Mexicano is also known for the Frozen Pomegranate Margarita, as well as the modern and festive ambiance.

Join us in our bar & lounge for our signature cocktails and small plates or dine with us in our sumptuous dining room. During the spring & summer, our patio is tucked onto the Navy Memorial plaza, with splashing fountains providing a very Parisian feel. <br /><br />We offer pre-theater menus if you are going to a show, light fare in the lounge, and lunch at the bar specials for those tight on time. Our lunch menu is a favorite among business clientele; dinner is perfect for a special occasion or simply a special night out.

Sette is Italian for seven, the traditional "lucky" number. The restaurant design is comfortable with a traditional Italian tone, and with a great "feel and flow." Sette Osteria is a destination place for people as well as a place for people walking in the area to come in and enjoy. <br /><br><br><br />Decor: Sette Osteria has an open kitchen and an action station viewable by guests. Pizzas are cooked in a wood-burning pizza oven. <br /><br><br><br />The best decor in a restaurant is people. Windows give guests a view of the active passing scenes on busy Connecticut Avenue and R Streets. And, people walking by are able to view a very inviting and appealing restaurant. The decor is soft and appealing but still carries a theme of sophisticated Italian culture and international buzz. Guests can view the young people going in and out of the chic clothing stores Benetton and Sisley.
