Columbia Firehouse, is a modern American brasserie and bar. The 120 seat first floor focuses on familiar comfort food, a nifty raw bar, small plates for sharing, steamed mussels and fresh salads, sandwiches and suppers. Meanwhile, work will continue on the second floor with a space destined to become a stylish, intimate chop house.

"We had a last minute idea to go to lunch and picked The Columbia Firehouse in Old Town Alexandria. We had been here years ago when it was Portner's. We were greeted warmly, had a wonderful server and the food was delicious. Great atmosphere, everyone was very kind and again, great food!"

Quote as “unpretentious but stylish”, Le Chat Noir, casual bistro-style with Parisian left-bank feel features classic, traditional French cuisine and a large selection of savory and sweet crepes. The Wine Lounge atop Le Chat Noir restaurant pays homage to vintage -- wine-making and a retrospect to Comics Black & White silent films. With an impressive wine list and a wide-range of cocktails for you to choose from, it is a place to share an intimate moment. Cozy home-like ambiance, we look forward to nourishing you and tantalizing your taste buds in our art nouveau inspired Restaurant and Lounge.

"We celebrated our anniversary with two friends at Le Chat Noir and were glad we chose it - a lovely French restaurant, very reasonably priced with excellent food and superb service. We sat out front on the glassed in porch and enjoyed the closest thing to a Paris sidewalk café you can get in DC. Everything was delicious, especially notable were the appetizer crepes. The wine list has great choices that are not outrageously priced. Easy to park in the local streets, no issues there. All in all, a pleasant surprise and yes, we'll be back."

"We returned to Argia's recently, hadn't been there since the change in ownership. We were very pleased with our experience. We were welcomed warmly and given a nice window table. Our waiter, Colin, was excellent, offering us suggestions, explaining the entrees where we had some questions, and providing a friendly and warm evening. The restaurant's cordial manager watches over the room, and she stopped to by introduce herself and ask how our evening was going. Everything we had was delicious from the Bruschetta to the Scampi to the pasta and the Cappuccinos. Wine prices are reasonable, too. If you haven't been here before or it has been a while, it's definitely worth a visit to this wonderful restaurant right in downtown Falls Church."
