Sociale (say - "SO-SHEE-AH-LAY!") was born in the bistros of Florence and raised here in Presidio heights. Laughter and Italian music are heard floating up from the star-lit, heated patio greeting you from the discreet garden alley below. Families and friends leaving the frenetic pace of the city behind can experience a lighter and decidedly more Italian mood celebrating in our new private dining room, the traditional room or on the patio as the irresistible scents of warm pastas, herb-infused meats, and the sweet honey and nut coated sfingi with vanilla bean gelato shake permeate the surrounding space. Bewitching and eclectic wines from Italy and California complement the weekly changing menus that Chef Tia Harrison crafts with joy and delight for our neighborhood friends!

"Always like the space, but the service was so bad we didn't enjoy the evening. On previous visits service was erratic, this time it was terrible. The food was okay, but not great. We might have enjoyed the whole Bronzino more if we has been given implements other than our dinner forks for removing the bones. I doubt we will return."

Chef Jennifer Jasinski's creatively inspired Mediterranean food is influenced by local seasonal products. Rioja is simple, pure food that emphasizes bright flavors & textures. The wines are a collection of fun interesting varietals that compliment the cuisine.

"Highlight of our lunch was the artichoke torteloni -deliscious and very flavorful. House breads were good, wine choice excellent. The lamburger was perfectly cooked, but the smokey cheese overwhelmed the dish."

"Nice patio, but would be even nicer with some blooming flowers to offset the gravel (don't wear heels). Fresh tasty guacamole was overpriced, served with over-fried unsalted tostadas. The fish tacos were bland and gritty, overcooked and under seasoned. The few pieces of lettuce added little, as did the tomato salad. Service was robotic and impersonal. SO many better places to eat in Healdsburg!"

Experience Urchin Bistrot in the heart of the Mission. Chefs Hiro Sone and Lissa Doumani have crafted a neighborhood casual destination. This 100 seat modern French bistro serves updated classics along with a modern twist. The cuisine is market-driven with a vibrant cocktail program and an inspired wine list. Serving dinner nightly, Urchin features an ala carte menu in addition to a 4 course prix fixe menu. Urchin welcomes large parties and hosts private events up to 90 guests.

"Nice menu, generous portions, well executed. Service very cordial and welcoming. We were seated upstairs, and it's a bit bleak - not festive or warm. Allow time for parking - valet service not yet available."
