"My husband and I have had a long-standing debate as to whether service really matters when it comes right down to it. He's always felt that if the food is good, the service doesn't really matter. This visit to the Surf Spot changed that opinion. The food was great! But our server? Meh... If it wasn't for the bus people, who felt like they had far more experience than our waiter, we wouldn't be returning. From not bringing (or even asking about) water and bread to not checking back on us to bringing our check without knowing if we wanted dessert or not (we did) he was checked OUT. I finally asked him if it was the end of his shift or something and he said "Yeah, in a few minutes." We'll be back for the food but not the service..."
