"We've eaten several times at the Pullman, from a laid-back lunch with our two-year-old on a quiet Saturday afternoon to our most recent visit, on a jam-packed Sunday (!) night, filled with 20-somethings at the bar waiting for a table. Each visit has in common though really good food and friendly attentive service. The food is inventive, and the kitchen has always been willing to accommodate my vegan diet (best bet is the cianfotta, an Italian vegetable stew, which they'll make without the parmesan broth). Since the other "fancy" restaurants in nearby Carbondale closed, The Pullman is the best bet in the area for a really good meal at a fair price with a nice wine, whether for a special date or just family lunch. Look forward to next time."
